Hey, I think he is worth a look at the price he is advertising. If he doesn't make the team what does it matter. I say bring him in and I bet he can be as good as T.O. was last year. He would at least provide a little insurance if Hardy is a bust.

Are we sure Bell can't be a good OLT?

Unfortunately Butler retired. I think this could be a big blow to the staus of the line next year. -
Nice job by our Front Ofiice.

I'm thinking we finally have a linebacking core again! Why would we get rid of mitchell? Starting Rolb-Mitchell (Back up -Kelsey) RILB-Poz (Digeorgio sp I know) LILB-Davis (Ellison/Harris) LOLB-Maybin/Schobel (Draft pick) This looks solid like the good ole days when we were rich with linebackers. We are a nose tackle away from being a top 5 "D" at least on paper. -
Our starting defense for 2010!!

What about Digiorgio? He could provide solid depth in the middle if he can come back from his injury. -

Why did so many of these players get released for failing their physicals? is this becuase our strength and conditioning coaches were that bad under Jauron? Maybe this was the weakest link in the whole coaching staff for years. Frankly since we let Rusty Jones go. Correcting this problem alone may be able to pick us up 3 or 4 wins that we didn't have. If you think about how desimated our rosters has been the last 3 years then you realize the team was usually only at about 65% in terms of how many 1st string player would see the field each week. I think this is perhaps the most overlooked weakness of Dick Jauron's tenure in buffalo.

My point is I don't think the Jets are good at all! I think they are lucky and have played chokers winning with smoke and mirrors. They have a good running game. Regardless they are in the AFC freakin championship. They will most likely get pummeled this weekend they way they were getting pummeled until the Colts pulled Manning in week 15. Maybe someone wanted the large market franchise to succeed even though they suck! (sounds paranoid I know)I bet Dirty Sanchez will show his immaturity with at least two pick this weekend. We are not that far away from the Jets, Miami or New England. I really think with a good strength and conditioning coach we could have been there this year. -
Look for all the negativity remember the Jets were benevolently granted a playoff birth by the Colts. Now they are on fire! If we had won New England, Jacksonville and Cleveland that could very well be Buffalo in the AFC championship game. In my estimation 7 points is all that seperates us from the Jets and remember we beat them once. Maybe Gailey isn't the best coach but his record isn't that bad. with a L.T., a couple great L.B.'s and a Q.B. I think we can make a run. Sorry to be so possitive i know that we are supposed to be all gloom and doom on this board.

Woah - Bills offered HC job to Harbaugh
Lenigmusx replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I too am sorry and stand corrected. I just wanted to let him know what it looked like. -
Only one of those players is better than the talent we currently have at their position. Pat Williams. Greer is not as good as McGee, McKevlin, Youbouty or Corner and Byrd, Whitner, Wilson and Scott are all better than Jim Leonard. Other than Williams the other players are just in the right places at the right time. It's kind of like making at hit record in that respect the talent is all pretty good but some musicians end up in the right clubs on the right nights. This is simply how it works.

Is your avatar a reference to J.K.'s late son? If it is it is truely in bad taste. -
You guys are all saying "behind this line?" Yes our third string line that we saw for most of the year was piss poor but with the return of our starters and the addition of a bonfied LT I think our line will rival the Jets next year. Call me crazy but the talent is there it is just young and too oft injured. I think whoever comes here may have a pleasent suprise in the OL dept. I also think T.O. may be lining up as a Bill for the rest of his career. There is a rumored 3 yr 26 mil deal on the table but it all depends on the coach. (Can't remember where I read this sorry no source)

Willis nice of you to stop by! Good game to day but we don't miss you here in Western NY. Can't wait to watch you get spanked by the Colts next week!

If we bring in a free agent to help develop Brohm there are a few QB's in their 30's who might work. Jon Kitna 37 (Dallas) is a possiblity I just don't like him much. The two that I find intriging are Charlie Batch who as back up in Pittsburgh may be willing to jump ship to start somewhere and Joey Harrington who has been behing Drew Brees in New Orleans for a year now and probably has learned a ton. Harrington is only 31 so he could stick around for a while but who knows. Also intriging is David Carr the back up in NYG right now. Thoughts anyone?

Nothing! He very well could be the future and should be our young talented #2. We need a veteran with expierience to bring him along. I just don't know who is out there that fits the bill. We need a Testaverde type who is 35-38 willing to start for a year and step aside to be a back up.

I Say Give Ryan Leaf one more shot! Clearly he just had the wrong supporting cast and was inmature!
