I have dish. What does that mean?

Great, our former 1st round picks got sacks against the 4th string soon-to-be-out-of-the-league Redskins. Sorry if I havent shown my enthusiasm.
-
Good Point. I guess thats 4th? So Bills are 0 for 4 on 4 most important thingsw to football. Great. Rhetorical Embarrassing. Simply embarrassing.

My advice is to not watch any of them. That way, when you love one and hate the other and the Bills draft the guy you hate and he goes on to be a huge bust while the guy you love goes on to superstar success you wont be really really pissed about it.

FWIW, and I am not defending Adams, but no Ts can block harrison/Woodley/Timmons/Harris. Blocking Maybin/Ellis/etc is much different.

It has been no mystery that the Bills FO cant judge talent. Just look at who their scouts have determined worthy of a first round selection vrs the players they apssed over. Look at jackson who was third fiddle to A. Thomas. J. Greer, J. Leonard etc. These evaluations are not just on the coaching staff, but also on the scouts. NFL scouts SCOUT THEIR OWN TEMS DURING TRAINING CAMP - and advise the coaches who to cut/who to retain. I would assume the coach has final say but he does get lots of imput from the scouting staff. The Bills have been FAR FAR FAR below par in this area for over a decade. They need an improvement in this area more than QB...

Will the Bills F.O. make a move for some WR help
High Mark replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Nelson cant beat out an undrafted player, with the reason pressumably being that he cannot block, why not convert him to WR? He has the speed of a WR (faster 40 time than Hardy), great size (think Calvin Johnson, and very similiar to our Injured nelson), is athletic enough, and we need lots of help at the position. Marcus Colston was a college TE who was a stud WR as a rookie - maybe get him some snaps outside? Then we could resign Klopfenstien! Just thinking outloud. -
Most important "positions/phases" to be successful in the NFL (a little different than the OPs) 1-QB 2-OL 3-Pass Rush Bills Worst 3 "positions/phases" 1-QB 2-OL 3-Pass Rush And people wonder why we havnt made the playoffs in ten years.

Gailey/Nix have no one to blame but themselves. Even if that quote is from months ago, they knew full well we needed OL and QB help above all else. They neglected both and took a huge gamble on the luxury pick Spiller above a potential franchise Qb and/or building the OL. They passed on Clausen and more quality OL prospects in round 2 also (at least Troup was a need fill). To argue that there "was no value at OL/QB" at our picks of 9 and 42 is assinine. Now their beds are made and they will have to sleep in them.

I was under the impression that the players were the ones who were going to hold out.... With that said, college players leaving for the pros wont have a say in anything yet because they arent in the league - at least that would make sense to me. So even if there is a strike, the owners would prob say they need to have to draft same as always to allocate the new players properly. PS If no CBA is agreed upon prior to say January, We are not going to see many underclassman declaring. Underclassmen always make or break a draft - especially at QB in 2011.

Agree on Maybin, but I think he plays the second half
-
I think the only person happy about this is James Hardy.

Backup QBs Around the League
High Mark replied to Benjamin Barker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would change it from"better" to "not worse" Garcia Chad Pennington Chris Redman Chris Simms Kerry Collins Charlie batch Leftwich J. Clausen M. Brunell T. Green There are more I am sure but I am bored and depressed with this topic -
It would technically be his third year in college, as he red shirted. Thats really not much different than bradford, who missed 95% of last eyar with injury then came out.
-
I for one am hoping harbaugh lets Luck run wild in the Pac 10 and then he declares. Much better prospect than Locker and Mallet IMO. There is a whole season ahead of us that could change a lot however.
-
Ellis is currently a starter. Why would he be cut next season, over say, his much higher paid backup Maybin?
-
Then tell them one they will have to trade their top 10 pick for, and one they can have as an UDFA, and see which one they chose. Also to the referred to "Whitner hit play" No one has mentioned that another TSW golden boy, Byrd, had the blown coverage on the play that allowed the WR to get so damned open, yet no one wants to call him out. Ironic to say the least.

Jesus...Jason Smith OT
High Mark replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
very good info Jose, but a lot of that I attribute to poor scouting. I never saw a game of Jason Smith in college so I cant say anythign about him. But Andre Smith didnt work out and left the combine. He CELARLY showed prior to the draft he was a huge ? and not worth a top 20 pick. People on this board were slotting him as a G or RT at most. Eugune Monroe was literally dominated from start to finish by Michael JOhnson of GT who was graded out as a 3rd round pick. If he cant handle a 3rd round talent how is he going to handle a PB DE? He also hasnt faired too poorly though Jose. Michael Oher on the other hand was a 4 year starter in teh SEC and performed extremely well. Going into the draft I have a hard time seeing the logic of having Monroe or Smith as a higher rated player. J. Smith as I said I never saw so who knows. But I asked myself these questions going into the draft and was confused as to how Oher was teh last T taken. -
No I didnt. Kelsay and Ellison dont fit the 34 mold, AND are not good. Harris at least played well, showed promise, and could fit into the system better than both of those two. I am pretty sure Kelsay hasnt even participated in practice yet.
