WOW, Detroit gets SCREEEEWED, the refs are terrible.

There is no argument. Johnson caught that ball. If by NFL rules he didn't catch the ball, then the NFL rule is wrong and should be re written. End of discussion. -
Yes Sir, Chan Gailey - "Super Offensive Genius"
High Mark replied to BillsPhan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What makes you say that? Chan's horrible career record, the fact he has been fired from every position he ahs ever held, or todays encouraging performace? That end of the game management was just as bad if not worse than Dickie Js. Why take the safety only to punt it to the 50? JUST PUnT IT TO THE 50 WITHOUT GOING DOWN BY 5! Holy sh*t I have to live through another 3 years (minimum) of this.... -
Official Trent Edward Haters Sign Up Page

What about taking that sack before the 63 yard FG attempt. We get no protection but he doesnt help the matter. The Bills still need 2 drafts at least just to get a QB and an OL. Thats assuming they draft one of the two in the enxt two drafts - which I bet they wont. -
The Bills FO the past 2 offseasons has set their sites on Hangartner and Green as FAs to bring in. These are two of the worst starting players at their respective positions in the NFL. On top of this they have refused to draft OL on the whole for many years. Its evident to me that who ever is at the top of the ladder in the Bills FO does not believe the OL has any importance to winning football games. Of course we see that they are sadly mistaken, and us as Bills fans are forced to suffer.

Paul Posluszny, from Conlan-esque to bust
High Mark replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Had a great play on his sack, but other than being injured all the time he hasn't been too bad. Of all the draft picks we have made this should not be one we are scrutinizing. -
I like how so many posters last year wanted Locker bad, then said he was so stupid for going back to college and not coming out (even when that NFL draft commitee said he was a mid round pick) and now he is the "white Jamarcus Russel" and "wont transition to the pros". That stuff was all so obvious LAST season - what has made you all see it now? I dont get it. I hope Trent plays well enough where we dont need a QB. I hope we add a big time Pass blocker of pass rusher next season, and I hope Luck stays in school - we may need him in 2012

A prediction you will like
High Mark replied to Another Point of View's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It really is amazing, its like these guys dont follow the league they talk about. The Bills arent a great team, but Miami isnt either. The Bills are a unknown team and a hot team coming out of the pre season. With Miamis injurys from last year (their NT from last year is gone and Ronnie Brown ACL) and this year (Long) we have a very good chance of winning. Let these guys act like there is no chance. I liken it to asking a stock broker about Enron and him going "BUY BUY BUY!!!" Thats how educated they seem on the subject. -
Is hardy still practie squad eligible? Thats the only way i see him getting a second chance. But hey, look at Mike Williams, you never know.
-
So by the third quater we should be expecting him?
-
Is there a third option?

I personally think we are fine at WR. Nelson/Johnson are solid players, and I expect Nelson to move into the #2 spot at some point this season. Evans is Evans and Parrish is finally being used and will be a 60-70+ catch guy. Our real holes are at TE and OL. Now replace V. Jackson with Logan Mankins and I couldnt be happier.

How many sacks by Aaron Maybin?
High Mark replied to Another Point of View's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the past is any type of idication, I can quite literally guarantee he will have less than 5 sacks this season. I will say 3.5 for the eyar, and none vrs Miami. -
I agree with that in the past but Ayodeles game is losing ground at this point. Still I didnt think Mitchell was the greatest in the first place. Dont like to see him to go down but I do like the veteran addition.

"For the most part, the owners are unified in their belief that they agreed to a lousy deal when the current CBA was extended in 2006, and that the players currently receive too great a share of their adjusted gross revenues. " I think the root of the problem is that players get a % of GROSS revenue. They should receive a % of NET revenue, so that owners are not stuck with huge overhead. I think the owners are right. Long term the NFL will survive with profitable owners and stadiums, not multi millionaire players. The NFL needs to fix the profit sharing too it sounds. I think they do need to start an "investment account" that each team pays into every season. This fund would be used to build new stadiums when they are needed, because I just dont see cities and governement paying for them anymore - the times have changed. Besides, a multi billion dollar league should build their own stadiums.

A friend of mine ordered one from China. China is the way to go no matter what player. He ordered a lot of 5 and they are all nice, swen on letters, colors match right, thick heavy duty material. I have 2 myself of the blue throwback and they are awesome too. Go that route. DHgate.com or try Ebay if you only want to order 1. -
Can somebody tell me who is going to rush the QB???
High Mark replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What was wrong with my thread on this subject -
I know OL and QB have gotten a lot of attention this off season as weak spots, mainly because they were horrid last season and we didn't address them in the draft. But what about the pass rush? This preseason we basically had none when it was 1st v 1sts IMO we dont have the talent to go out and create pressure. Kelsay/Maybin/Ellis/Torbor sure aren't scaring anyone. Dwan Edwards seemed to be our best pass rusher this preseason which is not a good sign. Now I was thinking about it and I think the 34 scheme will help, as we can use the scheme to create pressure and not have to rely solely on our players beating their players like last season. But at the same time when we go to the nickle in passing situations we go back to a 4 man front, and we are back to relying on Maybin/Ellis to beat LTs etc. I think that this is really our Achilles heal. With our secondary, we should be shutting down teams, but with no pass rush their talent is neutralized somewhat because they cant cover for 8 seconds. Hopefully we can figure out a way to dial up the pressure. After the preseason and seeing Trent and the O improve the pass rush is whats worrying me most, Luckily Long is out so we can beat the Phish

When Hang was starting between those two rookies Gs, it was pretty obvious to me he was the least physically gifted. Many times he was just dominated. Maybe he is great with his assignments and helps those two with thiers (i wouldnt know), but when it comes down to blocking his guy he is like a boy in a mans league. I understand Urbik was inactive all last season, but there are maybe 2 or 3 other teams in the NFL that Hang would start for. Maybe the Bills are ok with that, but thats not going to cut it for me personally.

Troup has had a stellar camp and other d-line notes
High Mark replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When I have seen Troup he hasnt been moved but he hasnt drawn 2 blockers either. When being blocked one on one he hasnt gotten much push it seems - so why double team him when one can handle him? Cody has been a monster when in vrs the run, pushing mulitiple blockers in the backfield - We all knew he would be. But he plays one play in 10. His problem ahs always be conditioning and even if he makes a great play or two he has to sit out the next 5+. Cody was a top 10 pick if he was in better shape, and he is playing exactly like that IMO. -
I think you will see it coming down to Hangartner vrs Urbik, with Wood being the wildacard as far as guard or C goes - if Urbik were to beat out anyone that is. I for one have a very low opinion of Hangartner and really think he needs to be replaced. It may not happen this year unless there is an injury, but long term he has to be moved to the bench. I could see Urbik being the first backup at both G positions and Wood would slid to C if it was Hangman that goes down. Urbik could eventually replace Hangman on the line - lets just get the bst 5 out there and determine their positions later.

Adam Shefter says that Revis and Jets have Agreed
High Mark replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know but the fact he even asked. -
that is not suprising, I still cannot imagine anyone with a clue would have touched Maybin in the first three rounds. Any idea on who Modrak really liked/who did give the final go ahead for Maybin?

High Mark replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree 100%. Even last year watching the Jets he had allowed a handful of catches with huge cushions. A shiit ton of ESPN ballwashing later and and he wants 10 years 160 million. McGee is just as good.
