This confirms that Nix either sucks horribly, Ralph still has complete control, or both. I vote both Kelsay is the opidomy of the Bills is is exaclty why we suck. He ahs started for 8 years and should have been replaced 7 years ago. This guy blows and has never once resembled an NFL starter, even as a LDE. Now he is even worse. He hasnt even PRESSURED the QB once this season. He hasnt covered anyone in coverage. He is routinely out of position, never holds his contain, and is blocked too easily. I cannot think of one thing he is even average at. Not one. If not for Cornell Green he would be the worst starter on this team, and even still thats debateable. FML

Over the past 2 weeks I have noticed multiple posts by multiple posters in multiple threads *claiming* Troupe had been getting all this playing time. Some even claimed he had begun to take snaps from KWilliams. I knew from actually paying attnetion to the games that this was totally off base. So this week I decided to count all of the defensive plays and count how many of them Troup actually was in on. I included plays that were negated due to penalty, so that I could get the largest sample possible,but I did not count any special teams plays. I may be off by 1 or 2 of the total plays, but I tallied 70 total plays, again including ones negated by penalties. Troup was in on only 9 of those 70 snaps (no I was not off in counting all of Troups plays, he played exactly 9). Thats 12.8% of the plays. 12.8% He was not double teamed on any of those 9 plays. The MYTH that he has been playing a lot, and that he is replacing/is going to replace K. Williams is just that, a Myth. Carry on. (the intent of this is not to be a Troupe v Clausen thread - just address all the posters claiming Troup currently plays a lot for this team)

Troupe played 9 of 70 D snaps this weekend. And if we did draft Clausen, this week would have been his third NFL start. FWIW

Bulaga was rated much much higher on my board. Davis was more of a 2nd round option for Bufallo I thought. Bulaga isnt starting over Tauscher but no one should hold that against him, Tauscher has been a staple on that OL for a decade. When he got in vrs us last week he easily handled all of our guys (which may not be saying that much) but he is a good quality player and will become better. He would have been well worth the 9th overall pick, and the Bills would be a better team with Bulaga blocking for Lynch/jackson/whoever is at QB than the team they are currently.

I doubt he is on the roster next year.

They still sucked pretty bad. NE rarely blitz and Fitz never had that much time. He took off runing a lot. We need to get rid of Hang and Green if we ever want to make the playoffs, which I would really like to do some day

McKelvin has looked very good this year. I am wondering why he is not a starter over Florence. FWIW Troup has been in on 2 plays thus far. I know a lot of threads this week a lot of posters assumed/stated he was playin a lot and very well. I knew that was not true (the playing a lot part at least) so I am counting this week. 2 plays so far

This is the closest thing Mallet will see to an NFL D in college. Many future Sunday guys on that roster and Saban coaching it. If Mallet cant show the ability to throw accuracte NFL caliber passes, and read the D with ease, he is doen IMO. I havent been impressed with his lack of accuracy and I have reservation about the system he is in under Petrino. Luck on the other hand is playing a slow ND D. He will light it up. Its too bad we wont see Luck vrs a Bama this year, even USC is a bit down. Luck has shown NFL accuracy and inteligence vrs some weaker comp. But Mallet hasnt show those vrs some top Comp. I have Luck way ahead of Mallet on my board righ now. If Mallet plays well it will be 1a and 1b. If not, I dont want Mallet at all with our top pick. I am putting everythign on this game for Mallet.

I think that says it all. The media made it out to sound like it was dead on even between these two. 20-3 is not very even. It is for this reason that I cannot believe fans take Tan McShays opiion and act liek its as good as gold. Locker was never considered a #1 overall by anyone in the NFL (well, Ralph may have) but people keep saying it like its true. Didnt you all see what happend to Snead? Snead sucked, no one wanted him, but McShay had him nabbed as the best QB ever. So can we put all that to rest?

I cant wait for DOnte to strut to the podium and say "You can tell Peter Kind we got our 14 losses!" Hopefully its not until week 17

The only thing we have with regards to the OL is the worst.

I dont think we can call 2010 a rebuilding year because we havent started rebuilding yet. We havent hit rock bottom yet. Hopefully next offseason we can start rebuilding, that is if Nix doesnt put it off for one more year so he can stack his Madden roster

If they havent failed, then we should in the least be very concerned as to were we are headed. After all, this team went with TE as the starter and got what everyone in their right mind new they would get. Now thye are going with Fitz and are gonna get exactly what we have gotten in years oast with him behind center. All the while CHIX was saying we like our guys we like our guys.... well CHIX, youre an idiot then.

How do you guys even remotely defend this? Troup getting more snaps than Kyle? What are you nuts. Troup has barely played. I think he got maybe 5 snaps last game. Meanwhile KW draws a double team every time he is on the field - Guess who the D is afraid of? Carrington has been a HEALTHY SCRATCH on a team with a TERRIBLE DL. Meanwhile, Spiller had 1 carry! ONE! I dont care if he is a kick returner. That position is reserved for UDFAs on playoff caliber teams. And not only do we have none of our rookies starting at the moment, they are barely playing. Spiller had 5 offensive touches last game. Newsflash, thats nothing. Our HC came out and said he would have a small role going forward too. Troup is rarely on the field as he is behind stroud Edwards and Williams on the DC for 43 DT - which it looks like we are going to permenantly with our current LB situation (yet another position they ignored by drafting Spiller, one of many) Simply more of the same from the same old Bills.

I hope there is a lock out. Mainly because I am totaly trying out for the scab team. I guess the Bills ahving 2 #1 overall picks in a row would be a good thing too. Hopefully with those 2 picks we could get at least one starter! I dont wanna get my hopes up for that though.

I prefer to leverage our draft picks for pro bowlers. Guys like McNiel or Mankins could be traded for tonight. Why not add them instead of a couple of busts?

Ok, so since we dont have teh best QB to ever play football, does that mean we need an OL? Ugoh got cut from the Colts. Well guess what, he could still be the best tackle on the roster, let alone beter than Chambers/Meredith/Green. Sign him because we need anything at this point

NEWSFLASH: Gailey is not a good coach, despite all the Kool Aid mixed up by Nix. Gailey has never consistently won as a head coach to any extent that would make anyone jealous. Gailey hasn't had success as an OC since the previous millennium. PS Gailey isn't going to turn us around either folks.

Didnt Young go 8-1 as a starter lst season? Didnt he lead Tenn to a win in week 1? Then didnt he get hurt week 2 and the Titans lost? I am confused... VY is the entrenched starter in Tenn...

Ok i know Edwards sucks. But so does Fitz. In fact, Gailey/Nix determined this whole offseason/training camp/preseason that Edwards was actually better than Fitz, which is why he was the un-questioned starter going into the season. Now they want to start Fitz? I really think this shows a lack in intelligence by Gailey/Nix. How could they not see this from a mile away? Edwards has sucked for a long time. Fitz is going to suck too. Yet they completely avoiding draft/signing any QB. At least Brohm hasnt proven he sucks (yet). Play Brohm already!
