  1. I hope that was sarcasm because Gailey has the worst winning percentage of any Bills HC since ... wait for it ... Hank Bullough.
  2. There was one point last night when I thought that CJ must be in Chan's doghouse the way he was being used (or misused, actually). Chan's obsession with the passing game is maddening. On one drive (don't remember which one) where the got all the way down into the red zone, I think I had counted a single running play.
  3. Couldn't we just get a billboard to fire the owner?
  4. Only MLB has a full anti-trust exemption. Based on the 2010 SCOTUS ruling, it might, in theory, even be possible for teams to negotiate their own TV and licensing deals (though highly unlikely). Details of the NFL's "anti-trust" protections: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080213072215AAkC9VH
  5. Excellent point ... that is completely wasted on the utterly incompetent Russ Brandon and Co. Is anyone else starting to get the impression that these guys are in way over their heads? It's like the Bills have a bunch of amateurs in the front office.
  6. Actually, they were 6-10 the season prior to Gailey's arrival. Dicky was 3-6 and Perry was 3-4.
  7. Chan Gailey: 13-26, .333 Perry Fewell: 3-4, .429 Dick Jauron: 24-33, .421 Mike Mularkey: 14-18, .438 Gregg Williams: 17-31, .354
  8. Billick was actually interested back when they got Chan, but they never interviewed him. That said, nothing will change until ownership does. Chan will eventually be shown the door, some new guy will come in and say he needs two years to "rebuild," will be just as bad as Chan, and the revolving door of coaches will continue until the Bills have an ownership and management structure that actually cares.
  9. Chan's too in love with the passing game to let any single RB touch it that many times in a game.
  10. Bingo. A friend of mine who is a "die-hard fan" stopped watching them a few years ago. Not because he isn't a huge football fan, just because he got "bored" with the Pats.
  11. The punter really shouldn't be blamed for a poor net average unless it's a result of poor directional punting. Otherwise it's the fault of the coverage team in which case DeHaven's the problem.
  12. I was cut 10 years ago, but I'm kinda like Milton from Office Space...
  13. Aside from potential insider information from Stallworth, I'd rather them bring back Roosevelt. The guy knows how to run routes, gets open, and has great hands. The only reason he hasn't caught on anywhere is his size and speed. But if you get open, run good routes, and catch the balls thrown to you, how important are speed and size anyway?
  14. Yeah, probably a collarbone or a dislocated shoulder. He's not coming back in this game. Let's hope FredEx gets healthy real quick. Thanks for your service.
  15. I didn't agree with you at first, but it's starting to make sense. "Make people believe it would be a crime to move the Bills." Given Ralph's age, a few years of rabid support for a losing franchise tells the NFL it better think twice before letting the Bills move. On the other hand, leaving tons of empty seats certainly can't help the matter. It sucks. Ralph's got us where he wants us. But he's not going to be around forever and there's a chance we could end up with local ownership if the cards play out just right.
  16. On the replay it looked like bad ball placement by the holder, to me. It was leaning heavily to one side.
  17. I completely agree. With Fred out for a few weeks, I can understand why they filled Nelson's spot with a RB, but they still have 4 QBs on their roster. At this point, I really would like to know what Brad Smith brings to this team. I'm not knocking the guy's skills, but they're not using him, so why have him? They need WRs (yes, Smith can play WR but Naaman is better).
  18. The day before the last Bills playoff game against the Titans, my wife and I had to put our first dog down. Since then, we've had two kids (the youngest is 9 1/2!), got a new dog (who, in dog years, is now middle aged), purchased a home, sold a home, purchased another home, purchased a car (well, that was just a couple of weeks ago actually), traded for a car, started four companies but have also been teaching long enough to actually get tenure (the combination of those two tells you just how long it's been) ... At least when the Red Sox were going 86 years between championships, they made the playoffs once and awhile - and even had some really good teams.
  19. I noticed the same thing. Honestly, I thought the onside kick was too early. Wait until you're down by 6 or there's less time on the clock. Stupid move.
  20. Well, I'm going to give them a few weeks, but I'm starting to sour on the Bills after several decades of unwavering loyalty. And I don't just mean in fantasy. Football itself just isn't even much fun anymore when your favorite team is so consistently bad.
