London Fletcher's family assaulted
Thisistheyear replied to mrags's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The truth is that there were a-holes 10, 20, 30...1,000 years ago. I can imagine that the crowds at the Circus Maximus generated more than a few arrests. Jerks will always be jerks and alcohol will always increase their disregard for others exponentially. at Gladiator competitions -
This might be dumber than than the "trade Mario for Skelton" thread. Do you really think Jim Kelly could coach an NFL team? Why? Is there a precedent for not very bright, former QBs jumping into head coaching positions and being successful? Even the Harbaughs paid their dues. Having a good arm does not qualify one to be a coach. Personally, I appreciate his quarterback play in the early 90s during my teens, but he's not very bright. He believes his buddies, the Maloofs, would buy the Bills and actually keep them in Buffalo. C'mon man.

Unfortunately, this is the NFL and if you can't stop your opponent that's on you. Teams like the Patriots stay sharp by keeping their foot on the gas. There are far fewer practices nowadays and garbage time equals legitimate practice time. As they should be. If the shoe were on the other foot we would be doing the same. It's a mans game.

Annual "Whine About Toronto Games" Thread
Thisistheyear replied to miserable_fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you. I've made the Green Bay/Milwaukee point many times and no one ever addresses it. Everyone around here is acting like butt-hurt clevelanders because they have no business sense. Who cares what anyone else thinks? The Toronto game is about driving revenue in the short term and creating long term viability by growing the fan base. It might not be ideal, but it is an absolute necessity. Every time I hear someone rail about how the Toronto game sickens them, I just think...that person isn't very bright. -
Will CJ get his touches? Last year's stats say "meh"

Tard Choice? I wish people's ages were displayed with their posts. -
Well, then we agree. Although, if I have a choice of Bradford or Fitz next year, I'm taking Bradford. I wouldn't give anything up for him, but I already know what I don't have in Fitzpatrick. Bradford is still young, has endured injuries and coaching turmoil and has a great arm.
-
How anyone defends Fitz is beyond my comprehension. Are we watching the same league? I've watched Bradford a bunch this year and, despite not being great, he is markedly better than Fitz. The simple fact is that Fitz is incapable of making certain throws...he can't throw deep outs (critical to keeping drives going, especially 2 min drill), he can't hit a receiver on fly patterns, and he is wildly erratic. I like the guy, but c'mon, his shortcomings are costing us games.

Just watch five minutes of ancient aliens. Without even presenting contrary opinions, the show debunks itself.

I truly feel horrible for Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Thisistheyear replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are either an amazing troll or really dumb. -
I understand that you (and I) would have liked to see Easley, but I don't see anything wrong with not playing him on offense yesterday. So, Ruvell Martin got snaps? Maybe he deserves them. The Bills obviously like Easley. They've given him several chances and whether or not he gets to play on offense this year (I think he will) he'll get a chance in next year's preseason. I really don't see the big deal here and would love you to list all the issues with not playing him on offense.

Pick one to leave - Fitz, Chan or Wanny

The problem is that we could get a new HC AND a new DC and still have subpar talent at the most important position on the field. I don't think Gailey (or as I just mistyped Failey - I think we have a new nickname) is a great coach, but if I can only dispose of one Fitz is my choice. We wouldn't be complaining about Chan's third and one calls if Fitz completed some downfield passes on what look like great plays. -

Fitz. I'd still like to see what Gailey could do with a decent QB. Although, I'd be fine if all three are gone next year. -
50,000 is a stretch. It's sad, but I'm happy that the remaining home games will be blacked out thus allowing me to concentrate on good games. Last week, w/ no Bill's game, my Sunday was fantastic. I watched good football all day, the Red Zone channel was switching rapid fire style between the three concurrent overtime games and I wasn't exposed to the futility known as Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Agreed. I find scenes with Andrea painful to watch. This is odd, because I find her attractive and she seemed to have a smokin' body when they showed her getting governed. Still, all the hot in the world can't help her one note acting. Michonne's constant scowling thinks that Andrea needs to show more depth.

Drunk girl runs mouth and gets beat down...NSFW Language
Thisistheyear replied to boyst's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Something about this seems fake. Edit - The more I think about it, the more it seems fake. Why would she post it? Andy Milonakis? The camera goes completely black for the beatdown and then she turns it on herself? I could be completely wrong and she might be a giant moron, but it just feels off to me. -
Genius.

Normally, I would agree, but in terms of characters TWD show seems to deviate from the comic regularly. Knowing that Lori died in the comic doesn't mean that she'll die in the show. Her dying is a possibility just like it was before you heard she died in the comic. The chances are no more or no less.

Jason Cole rips Wanny on Howard Simon show
Thisistheyear replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now that is funny. I use the words that I've learned over my 30 years of life. In the future I'll try to dumb it down. My point is that without tone or expression there is no context for your statement. Also, this world is full of dummies who make idiotic remarks. To try and hook someone over the internet by making absurd statements and then laughing at the confused responses, is like laughing at the little kid who thinks that you really took his nose. They don't know any better. Not trying to argue, to each his own. It's just my point of view that trolling is super easy. -

I'll never understand why using the ambiguity of the internet to confuse people is entertaining. It's not hard and it's certainly not clever. -
If you go to rock bottom, eschew the burger and get the steak sandwich. The burger is good, the steak sammy is great.

Bills hit with lawsuit over text messages
Thisistheyear replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://www.facebook.com/Star.Electric.Services He might be a dummy for not unsubscribing when he first got irritated. He might be a complete loser for not manning up and paying his cell phone bill. He might be a moron for not making his FB profile private but, if this is him (likely), his wife/girlfriend is freakin' hot. -
EXACTLY. The problem is that doing business in Niagara Falls is you have to do business with some of the scummiest, most backward thinking idiots in the country. They can't even take advantage of Niagara Falls. If I was a politician in Niagara Falls and I looked at what Niagara Falls, Ontario has accomplished in the past 20 years and then I looked at the cesspool I allow to fester, I would commit Hari-Kari. Would a stadium in Niagara Falls work? Would it benefit Buffalo and not just the Bills to regionalize with the Wonder of the World tourist destination next door? Should the politicians who all have their hands in each others pockets and are wasting an amazing resource be lined up and stoned? The answer to all of those questions is a simple and resounding yes. That being said, maybe Termini is suggesting Hamilton because he's hoping for a vocal outcry and reaction from Niagara Falls. It might be the only way to get those meth head politicians' attention.
