  1. 1. Fat Mike never played LT. But like so many other picks, the bills knew better that they could change his position to LT in the NFL. 2. Your conspiracy concept about not drafting LTs is a valid concern and probably dates back to the day Bill Polian had the run-in with Ralph's daughter about drafting a LT with a premium pick. No one holds a grudge longer than Ralph. In his twisted mind, Ralph will never allow a LEFT OT to be drafted with a premium pick by the Bills- even though Polian's been gone for 18 years.
  2. 1. fully expect the Bills to hype their chase of a bunch of high profile free agents then to actually sign a few has-been nobodies after the big name guys somehow escape to other teams 2. expect Chan to completely ignore upgrading the coaching or conditioning staff 3. expect the Bills to draft a RB and/or CB in the top 3 rounds 4. expect the Bills to ignore upgrading the OL with any significant draft picks or free agency adds 5. expect Bills to disclose that Fitz has been playing with some broken body part which will heal in the off-season and allow him to be all-world next year. 6. also expect that the Bills will attempt to change the position of at least one of their top draft picks basically business as usual
  3. The tough spot is caused by wasting all of the top 12 draft picks that should be the backbone of playmakers driving a playoff run. Instead, the Bills consistently butcher those picks so that they are devoid of talent
  4. looks more like Polian pissed someone off and now the league does not want the Colts to be rewarded with Luck for tanking the season Hard to lose when the refs are basically handing you the winning points
  5. The OL has sucked all year long -but what do you expect from the castoffs and rejects manning the line. Going in to the year with no NFL caliber OTs is just plain arrogant Fitz covered up for most of it early by getting the ball out in under 2 seconds. However, teams soon figured out the OL can not block and packed the defense within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage to take away the run game and the short pass. I was at the Miami game and witnessed first hand all 11 Miami defenders on the line of scrimmage. Absolutely no fear of getting beat downfield. With little time and even less accuracy from Fitz and no help from the WRs, the offense has ground to a halt Even if Luck dropped in to their lap, he would be a complete failure in Bufalo because he would be shellshocked behind the joke of an OL the Bills continue to employ
  6. I'm sure tjhis never occurred to you, but ever wonder why the Bills offense is limited to throwing 5 yards passes it could be because that's all the time Fitz has before he gets killed The Bills can not run a real NFL offense- you know with 10+ yard passes, because their OL is inept.
  7. could have had Marty he's won everywhere h's been and turned around real turds to do it in a very short time
  8. Fitz may not be a good NFL QB - but he is one of the few QBs that can actually produce in Buffalo - at least on a part time basis. Fitz has the ability to get rid of the ball very quickly - which is the only way the OL has looked somewhat functional. Any traditional QB will get killed behind this OL because neither OT can block worth a dam and now we have no center, either. A rookie QB would be a complete joke, since his confidence would be destroyed before the end of year 1, if he wasn't permanently injured.
  9. good idea- except that Chan sucks as a HC has no interest in the D or the special teams and does nothing to develop his coaching assistants
  10. what does it say about Chan that he hitched his wagon to both of these clowns
  11. the fans would be right
  12. f The Bills also have invested heavily in their D in both the draft and free agency. The difference is two fold: 1. The Bills talent evaluators have failed miserably in acquiring actual NFL talent and playmakers 2. The coaches are inept failures who destroy whatever talent may exist. Saying you play a 3-4 just because you line up 3 DL against their 5 OL and wonder why they get destroyed all day long is a disgrace to NFL coaching. Hire a coach that actually has implemented and run a defense that works in the NFL, instead of the cheapest guy you can find that will work for cheap.
  13. I would have to agree that it takes time to turnover an entire roster -- especially when all of the players drafted are worse than the guys they replaced Building thru the draft only works when you actually draft NFL caliber players, including playmakers, not busts
  14. how does his tenure with the Bills excuse his total failure to evaluate and acquire NFL quality players in the draft? All of the players drafted prior to 2011 have sucked with the Bills, including Maybin
  15. Ralph actually hired 2 football people in 50 years who were in heavy demand when he hired them - Tom Donahue and Chuck Knox. Marv's claim to fame was running the single wing in KC. Polian and Butler were the cheap in house promotions that Ralph likes so well. He lucked out big time
  16. Marv did the same thing with Walt Corey
  17. if you want to run a 3-4, how about anyone that has actually installed and run a 3-4 sometime in his prior coaching life
  18. typical Bills can't even tank the season properly they don't decide to go all in for Luck until spotting the field a 5 game lead
  19. ask Buddy- that was the first key move under his guidance
  20. but then again why is a wildcat QB BLOCKING for a punt The big myth is that the Bills ever ran the wildcat. the only thing they have done with Smith is direct snap it to him and have him improvise. The WildCat is an actual offense with mis-direction and options to each play, The Bills use no mis-direction, hand-offs or passes out of the direct snap plays Whatever the Bills are doing, it is not the WildCat.
  21. forget the stats The Miami defense pummelled the Bills into outright quitting. Fitz is the QB because he is one of few who can mask the total ineptness of the OL However, that trick involves getting the ball out in under 2 seconds and not running a complete NFL offense to think that by bringing in a traditional 5 tool QB will solve all of the problems while continuing to totally ignore the OL is a death sentence for that QB
  22. perspective is everything The Bills will screw it up and Fred will go to NE great for Fred and Brady sucks to be a Bills fan
  23. if Gronkowski was too risky for you in the 2nd, Hernandez should have been a no brainer in the 4th Bellicek actually has a relationship with college coaches so he can get the inside scoop on players. Buddy looks at outdated Kiper mags from his home in Tennessee,
  24. Marv could tell great stories. However, he was not a great coach. Other than Marchibroda, no one on his staff amounted to anything, let alone was developed under Marv into a great coach. for a Hall of Fame coach, where is the coaching tree producing coaching offspring? The truth is Marv could not identify coaching talent any better than he could evaluate football talent. Walt Corey is all that needs to be said about Marv's ability regarding coaching talent. Corey was a complete joke who cost them Super Bowl wins and wasted the pass rushing skills of Bruce Smith and Cornelius Bennett.
  25. OL and pass rusher are huge needs as well, but we ignore those every year as well
