  1. TEDS! I used to work at the one on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst while in high school. Man did the job suck - but I got 50% off on food. The ONLY good incentive to work there. My best meal I had there while working was a double cheeseburger (must try for anyone who hasnt), jumbo hot dog (also very tasty), chicken sandwich, and cheese fries (the hot cheddar is awesome - also goes well on the dogs). Total with my discount and free drink was around $6 - and about 15 minutes after my break ended I had to take another break in the restroom It's one of the things I will miss the most when I move away from WNY. I've also been to the one in Tempe - as Kelly said, it's the exact same as the Blo ones. For anyone former WNY's out west, if you're nearby Phoenix, it's definitely worth the stop.
  2. I'll be walking on May 21st - can't wait. Good to see a story like this, lots of great memories from Reed. Did he really need to have the sunglasses on though?
  3. Yea, Ralph talked for about 7 minutes, leaving Darryl only about 3 minutes or so - as the teams were coming back for the 2nd half.
  4. I was there last night. At least the people who were there were loud and into it - booing for most of the game, then going nuts near the end when the Amerks woke up. It was cool. Like was said above, the 4,000 there made it sound close to a sell out. Fri night there BETTER be a big crowd. Wish I could make it.
  5. Bills 2005 Schedule W Sep 11 Houston L Sep 18 @Tampa Bay L Sep 25 Atlanta W Oct 2 @New Orleans W Oct 9 Miami W Oct 16 N.Y. Jets W Oct 23 @Oakland L Oct 30 @New England Week 9 BYE W Nov 13 Kansas City L Nov 20 @San Diego W Nov 27 Carolina W Dec 4 @Miami L Dec 11 New England L Dec 17 Denver W Dec 24 @Cincinnati W Jan 1 @N.Y. Jets By the way LA - did anyone win from last year? I thought I remember someone being close, but not missing one game.
  6. Good to see! I went to a few games this year - man is it fun to watch the AHL, compared to the NHL. So much more wide open. Keep it up, Amerks.
  7. This just in, Maurice Clarett was drafted. Now, another commercial.
  8. lol 1 minute interview - tons of insight there
  9. I was there on Saturday - attendance was in the neighborhood of 11,000.
  10. Thanks, this will mark the first time I knew that YES was on in Rochester.
  11. For some reason the game is not on here in Rochester. It is listed as there in TV Guide but on the channel that is ESPN2 instead ESPNEWS is on. They are also showing highlights every few minutes or so, for updates, which makes no sense here since the game should be on. Is there some strange type of blackout rule where if the game sells out (as I assume this one did), a city 400 miles away cannot watch it on TV?? I am not a very big baseball fan, but there is really nothing else I feel like doing. Does anyone know what's up??
  12. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/a...us/obit_cochran - AP story. Saw that about Falwell, too. And the Pope isn't doing very well. I think he's always mentioned in this conversation, though.
  13. Understandable - like I said, I didn't find 2 and 3 all that great when compared with 1. This one is a bit better, but doesn't compare.
  14. Just a note - this is season 4 right now - 1 was the plot to kill Palmer by Drazen -> Nina killing Terri, 2 was the nuclear bomb scare and second attempt on Palmer, and 3 was the deadly virus and bomb scares. IMO this season is better than the last 2, but I doubt they'll be able to come close to the greatness of the first season.
  15. I worked down there for the summer of 02 at the World Center Marriott just down the street from LBV Village and Downtown Disney. I would suggest to stay somewhere in Disney because of the breaks you can get, but if you want to stay off property, that is probably the nicest hotel around. It's basically its own resort. Tons of great restaurants, bars, huge pool area, own golf course, etc. It's close to Disney, too. It's a little expensive, but it's worth it if you can spend it.
  16. I like UW Milwaukee alot, too. Don't know if it's like last year with Manhattan against Florida, when everyone picked Manahattan as a 12 over a 5 and then they won easily.
  17. Good to see lots of RIT on here. RIT 05 - graduating in May. Just curious about your MBA, I'm interested in getting one in a few yrs - do you prefer the night classes to full time?? Does it make that much of a difference? Thanks
  18. Tonawanda, NY / 22/ Rochester (school til May)
  19. I agree. Although at times she was better last night. But last week when they showed her seeing her dead daughter for the first time she looked like she was REALLY forcing out the tears. Bad acting.
  20. Don't forget about the other Shelton - Daimon. He was on many unofficial post-season lists (Peter King and ESPN - IIRC) after a slow start. Great asset to have in the backfield with Willis.
  21. Wow good call. Awesome episode again tonight. Seems like Marwan has also infiltrated the Air Force if I heard that correctly. Not good news. Of course Jack and Paul his new pal are not in good shape in the completely powerless M-F HQ. Glad Driscoll and the bad actress who plays her is finally gone - pissed that Michelle is coming back, more of an unnecessary storyline trying to tie back to last season, but oh well. Love the intensity of this season, and the fact that its "non-stop" as they like to say on Fox all the time adds even more to that.
  22. Haha you beat me to it Andrew. We were sitting in the 200's across from the UB bench and saw Donahoe down a few sections over to the left - towards the basket that had the cheerleaders at it (the left side on the TV). Spotted the trademark white hair at first, then he called a friend who was sitting 2 rows behind and confirmed. In typical Donahoe fashion, he was wearing a button-down collared shirt under a sweater, unfortunately it wasn't a white collar ala Lumberg. It was no doubt Tommy D though, who I'm sure also enjoyed the Bulls triumph. As was said at the game, besides being a fan he may have been looking for the next Antonio Gates ... gotta go with Yassin Idbihi I think
  23. Agree with you here - but I think the original comment was pointed at the phone call earlier in the show when Audrey was talking to John and Greg from the costume store and insisted that they make their own decision about what to do - build the greens or promote. Their job was not to pick which one (although I didn't really understand the fact that they had both of these to do) but to do the task that was chosen for them by PM IMO. And he was right to call her on that - she was deliberate in not "assigning" them tasks to cover herself in the near future.
  24. Hhaha yea, especially when he called her out at the start of the episode on the balcony and she stormed off, because it was obvious he was right. Like I said before, I don't think John should win, but he is definitely the best one for the show. And yea, Greg I think the tobacco guy, that was pretty funny. Looked like a cliche bad movie character.
