  1. Were the Steelers 14-1 and top team in the NFL at the time??
  2. Joe Theismann: "This game for the Giants has been flawless. Vinny, Julius Jones, etc...." Nice one Joe. Agreed, Jones is a good one.
  3. Yep, and Patrick and co. also said Eli is gonna be a good one because of that pass. But wait until he makes a mistake, theyll go completely opposite and say hes got a long way to go to develop as a good NFL QB. Cant stand listening to these drama queens.
  4. Great post Mark, pretty much agree all around. Sorry didnt catch you this morning at the tailgate, I talked to Rosen a few times and went over, saw R Rich, Lori, Rosen, OGTEleven, et al at about 12. Everyone was hyped up, and definitely took it into the stadium. It really kills me to read all of this stuff about how the crowd wasn't loud enough from people who weren't at this game -- this wasn't the loudest game Ive been to, but it was damn close. I dont understand how people watching on TV can somehow think it wasnt. Kills me. Almost as much as it killed me to watch Lindell miss that kick. But I digress, again good post.
  5. Will this shirt be available at the store at the Fieldhouse Sunday morning by chance?? Would be a great shirt to wear to the game.
  6. Those updates per Ed Werder at the game on the beginning of Monday Night Countdown -- McNabb will play a quarter at most, Westbrook wont play at all, and Thomas went back to Philly for "personal reasons". Things are going our way so far!
  7. Clayton at this point is in a very good situation. Porter is a question mark because of his free agency status, he could end up anywhere after the season. Evans also, he makes a great tandem with Moulds but for now is the #2. It seems that Clayton is in the best spot, being the #1 target on a team with a QB who seems to be coming along finally in Griese and a great offensive mind at coach with Gruden. L Fitz is in a similar situation, although Boldin takes away some of that. I would think it'd be difficult for you to get Clayton for either of those, and if so, it would Evans.
  8. Also Mike Williams was supposed to be in this draft class, he was a top 10 prospect until the new ruling came down. He still looks like he will be a great NFL WR.
  9. They've definitely been a good bunch. I wanted Evans before the draft as well, although I wishfully thought we could trade down and get him later in the 1st. I didn't see both Roy and Reggie going in the top 10, thought Reggie would fall a little further. Despite the success of Clayton and Roy W, I still think Evans was the correct guy for TD to have taken. He is exactly what the offense was missing - a consistent big play threat with great speed and hands. And a great compliment to EM. Check out the article in the Buffalo News about the two WRs, great read: http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20041...?tbd1060493.asp
  10. I would agree with that definitely. This book has been like the major Xmas toy this year - everyone in Buffalo wants it, and there is a limited supply. While I waited in line tues night for him to sign my book and one for my grandfather, the guy ahead of me astutely noted that Marv's book will sell rampantly in the WNY area, and contrastly not that much everywhere else. And I agree, from what I gathered in the brief encounter he was the embodiment of class. Good to see your book is doing well, too, good luck.
  11. I'd go, but I went to the fundraiser in Sept at Mickey Rats (awesome time) and the team proceeded to lose their first 4 games. I don't want to jinx them again. Although seeing all those players - Wire, Moorman, Dorenbos, McGahee, Henry, Jennings, Milloy, et al - in such a normal setting was great. But alas I don't want to jinx the boys again!
  12. Wish it wasn't true, but hes actually been on the injury report most of the year for games, and despite his injury problems in the past, has been able to play all but 1 game IIRC. Kind of like this year's Steve McNair I guess. Anyone who saw last weeks game against GB knows he is not hurt at all. But it would be great if he was banged up - to help out Houston, and because the team I'm facing in FFL playoffs has him.
  13. Agreed. Starters will be announced tonight at 7 on NFL Live I believe??
  14. 4+3=7 (no hard feelings, ive just never used this smiley)

  16. I don't usually say this about people I meet or know because I think it sounds really cheesy and ridiculous and is usually a stretch, but he really was one of the nicest people I've met. If anyone was there or has seen him this week (he is signing his book in the Buffalo area all week) they will know how BUSY and CROWDED the stores are when he is in there. My "ticket" was the 341st given out - he started signing at 5:30 - I got mine signed at almost 10 pm. I couldn't believe that he stayed that long. Of course part of the delay in the process was Marv being very personal to everyone there. He shook my hand, and made some small talk. I didn't say much, because I actually was kind of awe-struck in seeing him. He said he hoped I enjoyed the book and that it would bring back some good memories. And his wife was sitting next to him, undoubtedly a little surprised he was there for 4+ hours and still going; he also had a signing earlier in the day. If anyone is going to see him, go to the outlet he will be at - not sure the specifics, but its in the Buffalo News sports section - EARLY in the morning and get a ticket for the line. I got mine at 1pm today, and it was like I said the 341st given out, of about 500 I think. Also I would suggest picking up the book, aptly titled Where Else Would You Rather Be?. I looked through it while waiting at the store, it looks great. Go Marv.
  17. The start of the show "Ive got a fever, and the only prescription, is more... Brad Riter."
  18. Gotta have it. More of it.
  19. Seems like //devnull is all over this thread now lol. Go Bills - use this cowbell baby. "When I'm finished, you'll all be wearin gold plated diapers.." "What does that mean??" "I'm Bruce Dickinson.."
  20. Good to see, Jay, keep representing at the aways! I really wanted to go down for the game, especially after seeing it. A few of our friends made it down and said they met up with you guys before in the parking lot, of course doing shots, etc w/ Kenny. Here is a pic of one of them from the game. I think we all BILLieve now!
  21. Nice that youve come back down to earth after those mindless rants the last hour. This last post at least made sense. I can concede many of your points. BUT WE were not the ones who beat NE tonight - the phins did. We had NOTHING TO DO with that. ALL we can do is win these last 2 games, against the teams we're SCHEDULED to play, and hope for the best. I still don't understand why you'd be upset if we were in the playoffs and got beaten, even badly. When we were 0-4 were people talking about losing in the first round of the playoffs or finishing in last in the league??? If you think the first option then you're fooling yourself. 5 wins in the NFL in 2004 is nothing to scoff at. And if we get in, thats 7 wins in a row. Tonight, if nothing else, showed that NOTHING is taken for granted in the NFL. Including this weekend at SF. If we somehow lose (which I don't think we will, despite it being the trappiest of all trap games), your whole argument is moot anyway.
  22. Wish I could watch Monday Night Countdown again, when they said 234098234 times what a GREAT TWO WAY PLAYER Troy Brown was. I wonder how many times they will mention who was covering Thompson on the winning TD???
  23. Close enough!! Go find a chapel in Vegas, youre ready!
  24. One more thing - how many games in the years youve had season tickets have meant something - playoff wise?? ZERO. (not a knock on you as a fan, but speaking the truth of the team over the last 4-5 yrs). Nice to see you wont be enjoying this one on Jan 2nd. Sorry but us chickenshits will.
  25. If you hadnt made this thread, Id commend as the best fan I know (besides maybe Kenny). However you ruined all you wrote here which is extremely admirable by starting this bs post. I won't see you at the game, Ill be rooting for a win, regardless of opponent. Sorry you took offense of me calling you an Ahole, maybe if you hadnt called everyone including me a chickesh!t then it wouldnt have been necessary. As for "credentials in real life" Im not the one calling faceless people on a message board chickensh!ts.
