  1. Kind of similar to the sentient here when the Bills released Trent Edwards.
  2. I remember watching Jackson play in Minnesota and saying I'm glad he wasn't a QB for the Bills. Seriously!
  3. Like jauron said, you can never have enough good corners.
  4. Rex Ryan won't be kissing Billichek's rings either.
  5. I hope the kid calls it quits for his own sake. It looks like he's going to have life long disability because of his back. No way he should make a bad situation worse by playing football.
  6. Um, it was Jauron who was coach when both Wood and Levitre were drafted who happen to be the best O-lineman on the team right now. The team even traded up to get Levitre.
  7. Byrd. While he is still suspect in the tackling department and has problems with a nagging hernia/injury, he has tremendous ball skills. With a decent pash rush I expect him to have a great season. I like Levitre too, but Byrd is a playmaker.
  8. I agree with this move. Red flags were raised for me when Merriman got hurt his first practice with the team 2 season ago after being claimed off waivers. The Chargers are not dumb by the way- the writing was on the wall when they released Merriman. He could not stay healthy nor be counted on. He was worth the gamble but got a ridiculous amount of money for basically watching on the sideline. Cutting him was the right thing to do. Sadly this is another case of steroids gone bad- his body has broken down
  9. Thanks for the insight. Gillmore seems to be a workaholic and fully committed to his game which bodes very well for our secondary.
  10. Another classic case of big guy that can't play football. Just because a guy has size, speed, a high vertical jump, etc does not mean he can play in the NFL.
  11. The guy physically looks like Terrell Owens in his prime- tall, ridiculous muscular definition, and an ego!
  12. I hear you. You have to earn cred on the field in the NFL. Having a cool name, high draft status, and looking good on spot clips from college don't mean a thing. Some poster last year likened Easely to Eric Moulds. He may have been the same guy who said Alex Carrington was going to be better than Phil Hansen.
  13. I don't get it. Some inside joke?
  14. Was there for a few hours on a cruise. There are two old forts. I went to the smaller of the two called ? San Cristobal which was fun. Old town where our ship docked has lots of squares and shops to stroll around and see. There is a poster here that has a picture of a fort guard tower (and I think I saw at San Cristobal) as his avatar and I believe lives in San Juan. Maybe he'll have some tips. Have a good time!
  15. I wanted Kuechly so bad but he was gone. LB's, particularly Kuechly who is an everydown LB, have more an impact on a game than a CB imo. The Bills also had Drayon Florence under contract at that time. With Kuechly gone I actually wanted the WR Floyd from Notre Dame...again a bigger need for this team than CB was. In any event, Gilmore is getting rave reviews and with McGee still hurt the Gilmore pick makes more sense now.
  16. If someone can emerge and be a solid WR opposite Stevie Johnson our offense should be darn good. Easley is the x-factor. We don't really know what he brings to the table because he hasn't been able to stay on the field for health reasons. Graham looks to be really raw at this point- he's going to need time to develop. He could be the next Don Beebe or James Hardy
  17. It means pressure on the QB and better run defense which eventually leads to less points given up and longer time of possession for our offense.
  18. Like Jauron said, you can never have enough good corners. That and he seems to always be just a half step out of position in coverage. He's not terrible just not a quality starting caliber CB.
  19. By that logic Shawn Merriman should have been released 2 years ago!
  20. And Boomer Esiason too!
  21. I missed the part where he injects performance enhancing "medications."
  22. Sure, Gailey and Nix are so confident in Hairston they didn't use a second round pick in this years draft to draft a LT.
