The Judge in the case stated that Stallworth had never committed a serious crime before. The man was not in a crosswalk when he was struck. And Stallworth co operated 100% with the authorties. The second part about why he got off so lightly is that he settled a civil suit with the family already. Terms were not disclosed to my knowledge, but the family told the judge they did not want to prosecute much further. So yes haveing money did help him out. But if the victims family is ok with it then you should be too.

I think Ryan should have another great season. Honestly Roddy White is a true number one guy. He finally had a real qb throwing to him and he flourished. Harry Douglas is a faster version of Wess Welker. Turner is a beast and Norwood is a great 3rd down/change of pace back. Only thing Ryan was missing was a legitimate pass catching TE. Dimitrof took care of that (and gave up little in return) I like what they did on D for the draft. As long as the Falcons keep Vangorder they will be ok. Never seen a guy do more with less then he did last year.

Any you guys keeping an eye on Matt Ryan? Just got Gonzolaz, already has Roddy White, Jenkens, and Harry Douglass. Line should hold up pretty good.

That is your way of looking at it. If Scott is so good why did he not stick around on the Falcons? Last time i checked they needed some safety help too. Scott was the best other option before Byrd. Now it is Byrd and Whittner. Oh and Scott was drafted in the secnd round by the Falcons to play CB, he was to slow and never worked out. They cut him and Buffalo picked him up.

Deion did have a few good years early on in baseball. I can remember him taking a helicopter from the football game he played in for the Falcons, to Fulton County Stadium to join the Braves for a playoff game. If memory serves me right he homered in the game that night. He was a decent leadoff man his first couple years. He was an incredible cover corner for the begining of his career as well. I think alot of people forget what he did those first 3-5 years out of FSU. Due to the fact that he continued to play football for so long.Bo was good dont get me wrong. But my money is on Deion. Part of being a great athlete is longevity. IMO

The article stated the Bills cut these five guys to get down to 75 players. You can only have 80 players on the team in the offseason. Hopefully this means the Bills will start signing some of their 8 draft picks. Joel Bills is an interesting story. Have a feeling the Bills are maybe trying to sneak him thru waivers and resign him to the practice squad. Bell is a mammoth guy that hasnt played the game long. He is learning and could develope. He will need a few years before any team knows what he has to offer. IMO.

Ok the fact that i have to explain this tells me what i am dealing with. The phrase 'tallest midget' refers to the fact that Scott is the most talented out of a very talentless bunch. KO has never panned out and Wedling is a special teamer. Scott is a back up at best. That is why Russ Brandon and the boys took Byrd. It has nothing to do with height. And i spoke with anoth scout whose exact words were that Byrd will make an 'impact this year'. This scout works for another team that drafted a safety later in that same round. In Byrd the Bills got a player that will make an immediate impact this season. He will probably stand out more then any other player the Bills drafted this year. Not saying anything against Brown i hope he does a great job. But lets put the pads on and hit for real before we pass judgement. And he is probably taking first team reps because Peppers is a no show.

I have heard all this talk about Mcnally, and i even bought into it for awhile. Then i started thinking, did the Bills have a dominating offensive line and i missed it? No they did not. He might have been a good instructor, maybe good at teaching individuals the fundementals of the game, but as a unit the Oline was never dominating under him. Then news came out of Philly that they are haveing to coach up Peters. Now is that a product of poor Bills coaching, btw everyone credits McNally as the guy who turned Peters into the LT he is. So i dont think McNally is such a loss as everyone thinks. I would rather watch a young progressing Oline with a lot of potential, then an Oline with a bunch of underachieving vets. To me it seems like the Bills went across the Oline and said keep him and him(Walker and Butler) id like to keep him but cant (Peters) and he is a good swingman/backup guy so keep him(Chambers). Everone else goes pretty much. And to be honest i cant arguee with it one bit. One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. The Bills FO (and most of us) saw the Oline was underachieving and made some bold and drastic moves. I for one give them credit. How long it takes them to come together is the key to this season. If they give Edwards time and open lanes for Lynch and the boys, then this will be a fun ride!!!! Oh and you guys that say it isnt going to happen are just as right as those of us who say it can happen!!!

As any guy here that ever played football at any level, pee wee, high school, college, or pro knows nothing is accomplished for real till the pads go on. Once you start putting the shoulder pads on, then the men go to the front and the boys to the back. Honestly do you know the difference between a football and a watermelon?

I am not exactly bitter towards Crowell, but i really did not like how he handled himself last year. And maybe the Bills Doctors knew he really needed the surgery he got, therefore put him on IR. Wow the Bills are not as dumb as people think. But that article does clear up wether or not he should/could have played at all last year. And if he is tenative, that does not sound good. Hope he has a good year for the Bucs, except for when the Bills play them.

I think you are exactly right. And i think that is also why the Bills went out and drafted the best pure rushing DE in the draft. Everyone in the AFC east knows you got to beat NE to win the division. The only way to do that is put Brady on his butt a bunch of times during a game. You let him get comfortable back there, with those recievers, and you are done. Bills realize they have to get more pressure on opponents. Then we as fans will really see how good our DBs look. I think Buffalo has potentially the best defensive backfield in the game. Given they dont have to cover guys for 5-6 seconds, they could really start to make some big plays. You are usually not going to score a lot of points on the Pats. They may give up the occasional 30 points here or there. But the real way to beat the Pats is pressure Brady and run the Ball.

For what its worth he sounded pretty decent in my opinion. The guy just got finished working out. And he had 5 microphones shoved in his face. How many of us out of shape middle aged guys would be able to speak after a rigorous work out? He actually put sentences together, and sounded fairly inteligent. Got to say i was expecting a lot worse from some of the comments on here. Now if he would just stay out of trouble, he would not only sound inteligent but would be inteligent.

Maybin will not be a starter this year. He will play some with Schobel. If Schobel stays healthy and Maybin plays good then you have two good players at DE. Denney and Kelsay are around as run stopping DE. The Giants proved a few years ago you cant have enough good DE in this league. Maybin could also play opposite Schobel in obvious passing downs this year. Could create a miss match for opposing teams. If Maybin developes and Schobel is healthy, like he claims.

How many 'Stars' does Pitts have? I mean seriously? Not trying to stir the pot. But outside the QB position the Steelers have a good solid team. Not many superstars at all. Just guys who know what they are suppose to do, and they are well coached. Great coaching w good/hardworking players is better then average coaching with great players.

If Jansen starts over Butler then the Bills really would be screwed. Butler will probably be the best Olineman on the team THIS year. With Woods developing while starting.

I like what you said overall about the Bills players. But unless they get a pass rush going in front of them, no corner looks good after 4-5 seconds. I also think Byrd will be defensive rookie of the year.

If what you are saying is right(about being bumped). And i do not doubt it. Then you have to run him in motion. That is the best way to neutralize bump coverage. Haveing said that i just dont see how he gets in much as wide reciever. Atleast not with this current recieving group. If Reed gets hurt, then maybe he can see the field some. He would be a nice weapon if used maybe 5-6 snaps a game. And have 2-3 balls thrown his way.
