IF Bills Are Truly THinking About QB In Draft
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bradford is the best QB in this upcomming draft. Because of the injury he might be available a little bit later, like 7-10. But dont see him falling off way past that. Unless he has a bad combine. -
Penalties are way down since Fewell took over.
atlbillsfan1975 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great! and the bills are still 1-2. About the same winning percent as under Jauron. Sorry but lets see how this team is after the last week. I dont dislike Fewell. But think any decision made abut him is very premature. -
Faulk says Bills should name Fewell Head Coach
atlbillsfan1975 replied to dajari9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hire a GM, let him interview Fewell and evryone else. If he believes Fewell is the right man that let him hire him. The GM brings in his heads of scouting. The guy i like is down here in Atlanta, David Caldwell. Head of college scouting for the Falcons. Was hired by Dimitrof from INDY. Caldwell worked under Polian for 10 years. Then in Atlanta for the last two. Only knock is his age. But Dimitrof went from head of college scouting for NE to Atlanta's GM. And Dimitrof is young too. And Caldwell is from Buffalo. -
Not sure you want Shanahan. His catch phrase in Denver was "get me another guy". After they had went out and paid big bucks for a player that now Shanahan did not like. Sounds like he was good at spending money not so great at picking the right guy. Either way, if Ralph wants to show us he is serious about winning, then he hires a GM. Lets the GM hire a head coach and his heads of scouting. Keeps Brandon around for marketing. or not, dont really care, a winner markets itself!!!!

A Move We Should Make If It Can Be Done
atlbillsfan1975 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If everyone is doing the 3-4 why do you want to do it? I do not think the problem is the scheme as much as the talent in the front 7. Another strong DT to go along with Stroud would go a long way into helping that problem. I like Williams. Or what about Seymoore(SP) Him and Stroud back together would be great. -
Bills phrase of the year

Bradford to Johnson or Evans is more like it. -
Is It A Bad Thing For Us To Keep Winning Games?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is never a bad thing to win games, especially on a young team like Buffalo. It should mean younger guys are learning and becoming better players. As far draft status goes, who cares. Worry about that later. Heck the way things are going, if there was someone you really liked in the top 5, you can always move up. trades are happening more and more. You think Detroit is going to want to have another rookie salary in the top 5 of the draft? Just saying, win now, worry about the draft in the offseason. Remember the Ravens in 1999. They won their last 8 games. It set the tone for them the next year. went on to beat the Giants in the Superbowl that year. I know its a strech, but we accomplished what needed to happen this year, Jauron is gone, now start finding out what you got for next year. -
Tony Dungy said it...
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tony Dungy could not look less comfortable. He is a very good man. And was a good coach, but he doe snot belong on tv. Maybe back on the sidelines, but not standing next to Dan Patrick, trying to figure out what camera to look in. -
Need to hire a GM. Period. Then let him interview coaches. Maybe Fewell gets the job, but not unless the GM makes the hire. I got an obscure name for you. David Caldwell, head of college scouting for the Falcons. Was under Polian in INDY for years. Then was brought to Atlanta by Dimitrof. Has spent 12 years under INDY/N.E run systems. He is young, oh and is a Buffalo boy. Just a thought.

Fishcer did not want Young back in. Bud Adams forced that move. Now that it is working, it makes Fishcer not look the best. Just trying to help you out there BillNYC.

Lynch looked good against the Jets. Has not played well the last couple weeks. Both are good backs. Compliment each other well. But play behind an oline that as of today has just 5 healthy bodies. And i am not sure the Bills ever had the same line start 2 weeks in a row this whole season. The problem is/was bad play calling and a young/hurt oline. The best running back ever, according to yardage gained, is Emmit Smith. Does anyone think he is the best back? Or is it because he played behind the best Oline for most of his career.

For all you Peters haters
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peters play is very inconsistent at best. He blocks great for a few plays then it looks like he is on roller skates. Sorry not what you want for what you are paying him. -
Interesting LA Stadium Tidbit
atlbillsfan1975 replied to weehawk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How do you think the Bills and Jags are similar? What are you baseing that off of. The Jags have little to no fan base what so ever. They have 40k show up to their games. I know the Bills ticket prices are maybe a little less, but no where near enough to offest the 30k more people that go to games. Personally i think you are pulling numbers out your ahole. The Jags move first. They are a newer franchise, that never really caught on. -
No way a guy that size, that moves that fast, lasts after the first 10 picks. Unless he tears an ACL, while running away from the cops, after getting caught breaking into his ex gfs apt, while haveing a bag of weed on himself.

Mr. Wilson speaks
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Delete This Account's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You cant interview a coach that is on another team during the season, i believe. And you have to interview atleast one minority coach too. If the Bills want to interview Shanahan or any of the other big name guys(Holmgrin, Cowher, Gruden, and Schottenheimer) they can now. But i don't think you see a hire till mid January at the earliest. More like after the Super Bowl probably. -
The Compelling Case for Mike Leach as Head Coach
atlbillsfan1975 replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
100% Agree. I like Leach, but you need someone proven. Someone who can come in and say, 'because i said so' as he hold up a SB ring(s). -
So Schobel has the audacity to say the firing of Jauron makes the Bills look like a "Joke". No, they looked like a joke bringing him back after another 7-9 season last year. They looked like a joke giving big salary extensions to avg(at best) DE, like Denney and Schobel They looked like a joke letting Jauron have the say in firing his OC days before his opener. No, Sorry Schobel, and the rest of you pansies. I know you might be scarred because the FO may just may bring in a head coach that actually makes you practice hard. Maybe says i will put the best 11 guys on the field. Maybe gets you prepaired both physically and mentally for a game. Scobel you are a complete Aholel. Jauron was a huge failure, and for th ebetter part of the last two season so have you been. Injured last year and this year you have not really done squat. The fans want to win and if Schobel or any other player thinks Jauron is the guy to lead them, then please trade'm or cut 'em after the season!!!!!!!

What head coach would work best w/
atlbillsfan1975 replied to atlbillsfan1975's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What about keeping Jauron, he does absolutely nothing anyways. Let Crennel and Weis run the D and O. And just let Jauron do his Monday press confrence, after he has been debriefed by Russ on what to say??? -
Just a thought. Is there a guy out there you think would be able to work with Weis as the OC. I live in Atlanta. Where they hired a good defensive minded head coach, who has i think the best defensive cord in the game right now, Brian VanGorder. And then they went out and hired Mike Mularkey. It is pretty clear Mularkey runs the offense on a play to play basis. I like haveing assistants who have been head coaches, be it at the pro or college level. I think Weis is the classic example of a guy who is a great cord just not a head coach. I know he is an arrogant guy, or so it seems from some of his interviews. But he knows offense, and if there is anything at all to Edwards he would find it. So the question is who you bring in as a head guy? Like i said just a thought
-
6.5 million reasons why TO has been out there not Johnson. However with Owens injury i think you see Johnson and hopefully Hardy out there.
-
Yeah and then the next play from scrimage Ayers gets walled off and the Pittsburgh back rumbles for 40 yds down the sideline. he looked very blockable most of the time. Orakapo is on a good defense. With a good defensive line. Teams have to worry about Haynesworth in the middle, this allows Orakapo to get better pressure.

How do you build moving forward
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills need a Left Tackle. The QB class is not very deep this year. Personally if you could get Richard Seymour in FA, draft the first or second best tackle, with your first round pick. Then in the second get the best LB available, then the Bills have a solid team next year. Trent has a better Oline to play behind. And the Defense is better in the front seven. None of this mean much though, if Jauron and the entire offensive staff are not fired. -
I live in Atlanta but am a big Bills fan. I watched that game last night as a Falcons fan. I actually for the first time got upset when they lost. The Atlanta franchise has come a long way in just a few short years. When i think back to two years ago, when Atlanta got killed on monday night, then the next day Petrino left for Arkansas, all while Vick was getting sentenced. It does give you a little hope for Buffalo. If Mr Wilson really wants to win he should follow Mr Blanks' example. Hire a proven young talent evaluator as GM, a good smart student of the game as coach, and draft/trade for a franchise QB. I also watched that game last night thinking i am glad the Dolphins went with Culpepper over Brees. Thank You Nick Saban for that one.
