The Bills weren’t going to be good this year. We just need to hope Allen is ready after the bye so the season serves a greater constructive purpose. We also need Edmunds to heal up.

I agree and I was pointing to the fact that Shannahan kept throwing the ball. If he calls a run on the infamous sack play, the Falcons try a FG. Matt Bryant was very good in clutch kicks. Who knows what would of happened. It was more on the lines of a joke. Shannahan knows offense and he is very bright. He should grow into a good HC.

Great great writer. Loved reading his articles in SI during the glory years. Seemed he loved picking the Bills almost as much as Chris Berman. You lived a full life my friend . Thank you for helping a teenage kid enjoy his team. I think we got one more guy in a special place pulling for the Bills.

Hey, somebody else watched CBS this morning on Sunday.

I’d like to see what would happen if the Bills made Kaepernick an offer. He would obviously be able to start after the bye. I am not sure Kaepernick wants to play in the NFL anymore. This would be the best way to debunk collusion vs he just doesn’t want to play. Beggars can’t be choosers unless you aren’t really a beggar.

Zay is and always has been a slot guy who needs to be used as a possession type receiver. When the Bills get a real outside wide receiver, Zay will only look better.

I knew it would be bad, i didn’t know it would be this bad. Oh McDermott, learn to scout your own offensive players objectively. How we ended up with Peterman and Benjamin and the centers and guards on this offense is sad.

Of course it’s got to be Dawkins who misses the block. The guy trying to be a leader makes the game defining play to loose.

They will be given at the very least one more full year. Beane and McDermott now need to show they can create an offense like they did for the defense. McDermott needs to scout the kids in college and pros with Beane who he thinks fit an offense he hates going up against as a D Cord. I am inclined to stick with Daboll for one more year as well. Daboll can help with player decisions and stability might be a good thing on O. Heck that may be another contributing factor to why the D looks better than the O right now. Best thing for everyone is The Bills to have another draft where they find 3-4 starters in. They also need to do the same thing in FA . Find a couple Micah Hyde’s and Poyer’s for the O side of things. A Center would be big, I think of how Alex Mack in Atlanta helped turn that entire line around.

College football in WNY hasn’t been relevant since McNabb played at Syracuse. You guys do have cable right? Can watch games from all over the country to see what good college football is?

So you are saying a wideout from any other team basically? i will stretch mine out to a third round pick. Still a ton of starters found in that round, and especially interior o lineman.

I will say I think he can be the next great quarterback. He has all the tools. Allen has the size. I personally think he has what it takes to be successful. He just needs good coaching. as for Mahomes and Watson, Watson was the one I thought could be a solid starting quarterback based off what he did in the second NC game against Bama. Saban to me is like Bill Belichick. If you give Saban enough time he will more times than not figure out how to beat you. The fact that Watson performed so well against Sabans team the second time showed me something. Personally I think Watson has the ability to be a better Russell Wilson ultimate game manager who can make a couple plays at the right time. Mahomes is a mystery. He has the greatest play caller as a HC and a ton of talent. The exact opposite what Allen has so far.

I like where your head is. Matthews resigned with Falcons. i would take Coleman from the Dirty Birds. Falcons can’t resign him and he is a good pass catcher and runner from the backfield. Coleman with a change of pace back would be a good pick up.

He hit his head, he went face first into the turf and his helmet hit right above his face mask. Besides concussion wouldn’t be the injury to fake. And that was a game against a bad D you would of wanted McCoy to play good in. The Pats D is also giving up yards as well, so having him out there to showcase he has enough left makes more sense.

Manning makes the Bills QB play look respectable. Good quarterbacks make average wide receivers look better. It doesn’t hurt that Hall has 3 very good wide receivers playing opposite him.

Watch Sanu and Coleman. Two players the Bills could go after in FA. Remember McDermott knows offensive players from NFC South.

The year Buddy Nix got the GM job for the Bills I ran into Dave Caldwell who was with the Falcons at the time. I asked Dave if he put in for the Bills GM spot. Dave is from western New York and grew up a Bills fan. Dave told me he passed on it. Dimitrof warned Dave of going to the Bills at the time. Point being, of course guys will pass on the chance. I am willing to give McDermott and Beane one more complete year to show they can find the same level of talent on offense as they did on defense. McVay is a good coach who didn’t interview with the Bills. By your logic why isn’t Belichick the Bills coach?! Or any successful coach since Marv retired?

Rather have guys on the team saying this than watching fighting on the sideline. Dawkins is showing he wants to lead. He is decent at his position and hopefully only getting better. This year was never going to be a good one. Stay together and keep building.
