  1. If the Cheatriots franchise Cassel, and they almost surely will since Brady isn't even close to being ready to return, and teams need to designate a franchise player by the end of February, they won't be able to trade him. His agent will be forced by the NFLPA to look for a deal averaging close to the franchise tag ($14.5M a year), a huge signing bonus, and the Cheatriots will want a 1st rounder. That being said, I doubt they even look to trade him because Brady's future is in serious doubt. The fact that the franchise tag keeps Cassel away from the other AFC East teams is a by-product.
  2. Makeup call for the bogus PI (that was more blatant and SHOULD have been called on the last play by the Eagles in the NFCCG) call that gave the Ravens a TD.
  3. What's more embarrassing is bypassing Ngata for Whitner.
  4. I'm SO glad the Bills didn't draft Limas Sweed. Talk about adding injury to insult.
  5. A big thing is needing 6 years before you can become an UFA. That severely cuts down on the number of UFA's.

  8. It's not only money, but he reportedly wants to play in a 3-4. And after living and playing in Carolina all of his life, I doubt he'd want to play in Buffalo. Add in state taxes...
  9. Cassel isn't a top QB. And unless Moss is packaged with him, no way do the Panthers even entertain that deal.
  10. Jackson was the only guy who was projected to be that good. But the Bills didn't want another Lee Evans type of player, especially one who was a headcase. Royal was a major surprise and a similar player to Jackson. Basically it was between Hardy, Sweed, and Kelly, and despite his lack of production, Hardy was still better than the other 2.
  11. Yeah, always liked Dennis Wolfberg and was sorry when he died many years ago, at the WAY too early age of 48.
  12. This joker of a potential owner is never going to raise the cash to build a new stadium. It's a dead issue, at least in this economic climate.
  13. He's anywhere from 241-255#. If we want the defense to stop being so undersized, they need regular-sized DE's and LB's.
  14. He'd probably need to become an OLB.
  15. She's not worth $40.
  16. Maybe it's because the Cards have sucked for almost their entire existence that they were bound to have a good season eventually?
  17. Don't worry. The Dols will stink again next year.
  18. I would think that with the reports that the Cowboys are looking into cutting Owens, which Owens undoubtedly has heard himself by now, they almost HAVE to cut him. What do they say to him "um, we were just kidding?"
  19. Bingo. My uncle was offered a job and thought about nickel and diming them for more, but his recruiter looked him in the face and asked him if he was crazy. Take the job and be happy with your luck instead of trying to push it.
  20. For whom will the Cowboys trade their 2010 1st round pick?
  21. Cool.
  22. I think he will be good. However if the Bills have the chance to get a top-flight TE, I wouldn't them to hesitate.
  23. My understanding of "hedging ones bet" is trying to partially cover any initial losses (i.e. the original wager placed), i.e. the actual money spent. Not the potential money (from winning the bet).
  24. Considering NO ONE emerged as a downfield threat this past season, I won't hold it against a rookie TE who missed half the season.
  25. So that makes 4 of us (me, you, FiC, and JR)?
