  1. The running over the mailbox and bringing his own alcohol into bars are jokes to even bring up. They say nothing except that he's immature and unsophisticated, but what young man, especially pro athlete, isn't? As for the hit and run, there was no proof that he was drunk or that he knew he hit her (and the cops even offered that alibi for him), and ultimately it was settled for a traffic ticket and not even a misdemeanor. You can claim this or that, but that and a quarter won't even get you a cup of coffee. Now in this case, he had a loaded gun. What does it say other than he was stupid for having a loaded gun and breaking a rule that was created to get violent criminals off the street? Does it make him a imminent threat to shoot someone? Versus if he had the gun unloaded in the trunk? If this were anyone without a history of violence, I'd say the same thing. Charge him with a misdemeanor and be done with it. If it happens again, throw the book at him.
  2. If you're going to level a charge of smoking marijuana/being in a car with others smoking marijuana against a pro athlete whose career can be adversely affected by such, you damn well better be sure you can prove it was in fact marijuana. So yes, they better have saved the blunts and tested them, because I can smell a lawsuit here. Obviously nothing as good as what you have been smoking.
  3. Before or after the anal-probing?
  4. Graham is merely reporting what the cops told him so I have no qualms with him. But alleging that Lynch was smoking marijuana is a huge charge to level against an NFL player. And they reportedly knew he was an NFL player. Why not get him with a double whammy of felony gun and marijuana possession, and really make up for him "getting away it" with last summer? Here's the cops' chances to put away America's Most Wanted.
  5. No, you've got to be kidding me. How do you think they charge people with marijuana possession who don't admit it's marijuana? They test it at a lab.
  6. I'm like you in that I don't care unless it takes him off the field. But I'm not going to worry about him missing time until he's charged with something, and Goodell acts (or doesn't). The Bills lost all 3 games in which Lynch rushed for 100 yards this past season.
  7. Ah, the old "it looked and smelled like marijuana, but no one claimed it was theirs so we let it slide" charge. Are you kidding me? As I alluded to in another thread, I hope they confiscated the blunts and had them tested. Because then that changes things completely.
  8. I had a crack in my windshield (which started from a "star" crack) for years because I drive on the highway to get to work and get debris hitting my windshield all the time. So I finally decided to get it replaced. And wouldn't you know it, but I got a "star" crack just a couple days after. However this time I'm going to get it filled before it extends.
  9. How did it fail her? There was NO evidence to convict Lynch of anything other than what he got. Hell even the cops were saying that he probably didn't know he hit her. You want to charge him with, what, a felony, even a misdemeanor, because you THINK he was drinking, driving drunk, and knew he hit her, despite no evidence at all to support those claims, and in fact, evidence to the contrary? And she likely got a nice settlement out of it and Lynch's license was revoked. What did you expect the appropriate pound of flesh to be? What if it were you and not Lynch?
  10. My bad. I was under the assumption that there was something illegal about having those guns, but he got off. I guess PFT had to get some other angle on it than merely a suspended license.
  11. Don't hate the player, hate the system.
  12. So why was he arrested then?
  13. Hopefully the cops saved the blunts and are analyzing them for fingerprints and/or DNA.
  14. You do realize that a good number of pro athletes in ALL the major pro sports have guns, right? Are they all thugs waiting to "bust a cap" in someone's ass? Are they all stupid? Paranoid? This isn't some nobody on a message board we're talking about here; this is a wealthy, famous, professional athlete. Look at what happened to Michael Irvin a few months back. If one of the guys in the other car hadn't been a Cowboys fan, he would have been robbed and possibly could have been killed. Do you know for a fact that Marshawn has never received death threats? Or just because you haven't heard about it, it's never happened? This is a world that neither you nor I know, so stop pretending like you do. Look, I'm not happy he was caught with a loaded gun in the trunk of his car. It's an embarrassing incident at best, and takes him off the field at worst. But I highly doubt he was getting ready to gun someone down, and this isn't the world of "Minority Report." Furthermore, laws aren't enforced in a vacuum. A violent repeat offender would have the book thrown at him, while you (I assume you aren't a violent criminal) or I would get what Lynch will probably get, which is charged with a misdemeanor, like Tank Johnson was (but then he proceeded to violate parole and was arrested). Maybe his lawyer can get him off on a technicality, just as my or your lawyer would try to do. However I'll bet anything that he won't be charged with a felony, despite what some may think of him "getting away" with hit and run last year.
  15. LOL! Because everyone charged with possession of weed admits it's theirs.
  16. No, it's more like a free ride, when you've already paid.
  17. I'm sure that Mr. Izzo received them but didn't inhale inject.
  18. I agree that it doesn't make sense to give him the $20M/year he's looking for. But someone is sure to offer even just half of that amount, and according to his words to Ralph, he should just take it. Texas Stadium has been unnamed since he's owned the Cowboys (1989), whereas RWS was Rich Stadium until 1998.
  19. FTR, I saw that thread on BZ when it was first posted and thought about linking it here, but knew the reactions it would get. I agree with all of it, although the poster revealing who the Bills would draft was pretty dumb and could get him/her fired. But the Bills wanting Haynesworth and Saturday and getting them are 2 different things.
  20. Okay, let's put this another way. Say Taylor owned an illegal gun, used it on his killers before they could use theirs on him, and is still alive today. Would you still be outraged that he illegally owned a gun and would you be clamoring for him to be charged with a felony, sent to jail, and/or suspended by the league? But the cops possibly illegally searching Lynch's car and finding a loaded handgun with no evidence that it was used or going to be used, means he should be convicted and jailed and/or suspended?
  21. I see. He deserved to die. But thank god he wasn't in possession of an illegal handgun! And I guess that girl who was hit by Lynch last year deserved it, being out in the drinking district at 3 AM.
  22. Indeed! You realize Taylor died because all he had to defednd himself from 2 tough guys actually carrying weapons on them and intending to do harm, is a machete? The question is, where did you come from?
  23. C'mon Jerruh. Take any naming rights deal you can get. Fuggin' hypocrite.
  24. Reportedly Parcells is sniffing around trading for him. Parcells is the guy who drafted him.
