  1. Too hot.
  2. How are DHB's hands?
  3. Warner's career in the NFL, save for 1 year with the Giants (10 games and 9 starts with 2,000 yards 6 TD's, 4 INT's, 12 fumbles with 4 lost, and 39 sacks taken), has been with dome teams. It's caveat emptor. But he'd be a great option for the Lions and especially the Vikes.
  4. I'm not disagreeing that Goodell would like to enroll him in Stage 1, I'm saying the NFLPA would fight it. Otherwise it would allow Goodell to enroll whoever he wants, whenever he wants. I wish the cops had retrieved the blunts and tested them. I don't care if "it's a hassle because of the paperwork, costs money, and any charge(s) would get dropped anyway." That along with the "no one admitted it was his" excuses are ludicrous and don't provide any proof that there was indeed pot in the car. That way we would know definitively, instead of merely believing there was pot.
  5. You would think that if you're going to allege someone did something illegal, you'd charge him for it. Not use some idiotic excuse like "no one admitted it was his."
  6. Lynch wasn't charged with possession or even just smoking pot. Without proof, it's baseless allegations. The NFL can order a drug test, but without him failing it or actually getting busted, they can't do anything further. Alcohol used to be banned. I guess that went away with the last CBA. http://news.findlaw.com/legalnews/sports/d...ball/index.html
  7. Yeah, about as well as the 1 game suspension will teach Brandon Marshall to not beat his girlfriend, or the Giants' self-imposed 4 game suspension for Burress for the games he would have missed anyway will teach him. It is what it is. The accident last year was a traffic ticket. Reduced from an alleged felony. Now hw does that happen? Don't quit your day job, whatever that may be.
  8. That would be sheer brilliance to trade a 1st, much less an additional 2nd and 3rd, for Brady, before he even comes back to play. But I'd do it...if Moss and Welker came with him, not to mention their videotape guy.
  9. At best I can see 1 game, like what Brandon Marshall ultimately got for his long history of domestic assault charges. But I'm still sticking with no suspension and a stiff fine.
  10. Maybe he needs a stiff penalty. Maybe he'll learn from it regardless of whether he gets one or gets off, who knows? I still want to know what the charges are. I know the gun was loaded and somewhere in the car. Was it registered? Did he have a license? Was it in the trunk or on one of his friends?
  11. Definitely, if they can't re-sign Crowell "on the cheap," seeing as how they paid him $1.725M to recuperate after he delayed having recommended surgery until just before the season started.
  12. It doesn't sound like there was any negotiation at all. Lynch's attorney said he hasn't seen any evidence. The charges were what the police brought against Lynch and now Lynch's attorney will have a chance to get them reduced, amd a remote chance of getting them dropped.
  13. Do you have any examples of players ending up in Stage 1 of drug testing, without testing positive for drugs or having been proven to be involved with them? The point being, the cops claiming that they smelled and saw pot in the car, yet not charging Lynch with anything, sounds highly suspicious. I guess a good example would be to see whether Matt Leinart ended-up in Stage 1 after photos of him surfaced at that party where everyone was drinking.
  14. Apparently arrests are forthcoming, when the team plane lands at 2 AM.
  15. The weed allegations are just that: allegations. The police would have had to have seized the "blunts" and tested them, found they contained pot, and then tested Lynch. And it's strange that Lynch's lawyer hasn't been provided with any information. There's a possibility he could get some of the charges dropped.

  17. They are a good model for cheating your way to the top.
  18. I still say no suspension. First time offense/offender and the gun wasn't on him, but in the trunk.
  19. If we charged people for being stupid...

  21. That's what I'm looking for, i.e. to stop the spreading and lessening the look. What's the name of the product?
  22. Exactly. I also don't want a QB that can beat the bad teams and lose to the good teams, for $14M a year and a 1st and 3rd round pick, again with a better offense than what the Bills had.
  23. The word I've heard is the Bills and Crowell are talking and there is a good chance he re-signs. We'll see.
  24. Give Delhomme Moss and Welker and he easily surpasses Cassel's output. And given Cassel's performance against the Steelers at home in week 13, Cassel probably wouldn't have fared much better than Delhomme did against the Cards. So it's not worth the risk to find out. So if the Patriots are one of the teams, they'll likely have to fork over their 1st round pick, plus pay Peppers a gigantic contract to play an unfamiliar position. Doesn't really sound appealing from any side. BTW, the Panthers are close to re-signing Gross, after which they'll slap the franchise tag. And restructuring Delhomme frees-up quite a bit of cash.
  25. Athletes shouldn't get special treatment, but like most who are rich, famous, powerful, etc., they just do. That's the way it's been and the way it will always be. It sucks, but life isn't fair, is it? However in Lynch's case, whether it be the hit-and-run last year, or the weapons charge this year, I wouldn't want him to be charged with anything more than I'd expect anyone else to be charged with, given a relatively clean past history, the evidence, and the circumstances. I saw no evidence that he was drunk and knew he hit the girl last year, therefore even misdemeanor charges weren't appropriate. And I just cannot accept that having a loaded gun in the back of his car is enough reason to charge him with a felony. Maybe a misdemeanor, but even then, the laws weren't created for guys like him; they were created for violent criminals. If he does it again, of guns someone down, then throw the book at him.
