  1. Did it for the insurance money, eh?
  2. Ummm, not quite.
  3. He will cost a 1st round pick.
  4. They were the greatest RDE and LDE respectively. But again, some people claim that White was the best DE (regardless of side) ever, and in that discussion, it's debatable and IMHO not true.
  5. Isn't one of those chicks the niece of one of the posters here?
  6. Exactly. Bruce needs to toot his own horn because people still think White is the greatest DE, despite the fact that White was a LDE and faced (typically) less talented RT's (as well as plaing opposite great RDE's playing opposite him and in a 4-3).
  7. What I'm trying to say that if the Cheatriots try to trade Brady before he hits the field, teams will know something is up (i.e. he's not healed and/or not the same player he once was) and won't trade for him. He'll need to prove he's completely back before anyone trades for him.
  8. I was going to write the above. What does Ralph Wilson have to do with the contract given to RJ? And RJ was traded for and paid based on potential. After starting a whole season with a loaded offense, Cassel's numbers were alright but not anything close to franchise-tag-worth.
  9. Huh? Porter signed a 5-year $32M deal with the Dols prior to the 2007 season. So he was neither available this past off-season, nor was his asking price even close to what Mitchell got. And Wilson pays. But he's not the one who chooses what players to sign.
  10. I'm of the mind that I'd be fine with re-signing Crowell, if the Bills spent a ton of money on Haynesworth. That and signing Jason Brown © of the Ravens.
  11. Yeah, that was before this: California could run out of money by February Don't count on it. Especially with the Jags and Saints in direr straits.
  12. Can anyone really say they're in love with Trent's game, or just Trent himself? His game has been awful and only the blindest of homers wouldn't admit that. And as I've said, the Bills will only go so far as Trent takes them. He needs to look downfield more. Whether he can do that remains a complete mystery, one which the Bills can't assume will be unraveled on its own.
  13. Exactly. I'd rather have had the Jets win the division (don't hate them nearly as much, and the result would have been the same), but the Dols winning the division but losing in a blowout is a nice consolation prize. And then next year is a whole new ballgame.
  14. You also don't see all the calls they miss. Basically they're being graded on the calls they do make, while the ones they miss are totally ignored.
  15. I cared enough to reply. That was about it. The game went the way I predicted it would with the Dols getting blown out like they did in week 7. They went as far as Pennington could take them, while relying on turnovers and limiting them yourself isn't a (sound) gameplan.
  16. Six points in the first quarter. 0-4, here you come!
  17. Read the previous posts in this thread. The implications are that the Bills won't be moving anytime soon, given what you mentioned and Ted Rogers' death.
  18. Who cares?
  19. I really don't care about this game. But I'll take the Eagles. The Vikes are like the Dols: (barely) the best of a bad division.
  20. True, the relo fee increases a lot if you move a team outside the U.S.
  21. Ray Lewis got away with murder? Wrong.
  22. Like I said, the jester's record isn't even as good as Jauron's. Could we see 0-4?
  23. The NFL can want 20 teams in LA. What they need is an owner who will a) buy a team, b) pay the relo fee (although the NFL would probably and conveniently waive it), and c) pay for a new stadium (because LA won't, and neither will the NFL). IOW, ain't gonna happen.
  24. Thankfully it was a good but essentially meaningless play by Willy. The Ravens had this game before halftime.
