  1. Regarding: 1. If they select a rookie OT, and expect him to start at LT, then this will be valid. I don't think they will. 2. They would have caved if they had given him that $11.5M/year deal he wanted.
  2. I remember the play vividly. Peters got out of his stance fine. It was when Umenyiora engaged/bull-rushed him and crunched him back on himself that Peters got injured. I originally thought it was a hyperextension of his leg. Whether you want to argue semantics over who dominated whom, Umenyiora won the battle because he knocked Peters out. I was highly disappointed when it happened because I thought Peters was an all-world LT and Umenyiora should have been able to do that to him. And the Giants went onto win the SB, shutting down the greatest offense in NFL history, so it can be argued that losing Peters wasn't the sole reason why the offense went into the tank, and that they made adjustments.
  3. Waters wants to be paid $8M/year or thereabouts, from what I hear.
  4. I was hoping that was going to happen.
  5. Peters was injured on the Bills' 4th series of the game, and his bull rush of Peters is what caused him to shred his groin.
  6. Opinions are like...well, you know. I'm sure there is some yahoo who thinks this was the bestest trade ever. For the Bills, it was a great trade. They got 3 picks for a malcontent who has had injury and motivation problems, and who came off a poor season, after getting him as an UDFA. Time will tell who got the better of the deal, and it's possible both teams might benefit, but it won't be determined by a "league source."
  7. It's no different than you talking about his 9-10 reps of 225# at the combine (a year ago). As if he could never get stronger.
  8. Wrong. The Bills released Peters during the off-season of his rookie and then he had a visit with the Giants, who refused to sign him. And no other team signed him after that, except for the Bills. And if not for Mularkey suggesting he move to OT, that change wouldn't have happened either.
  9. It is? Because his play last year was poor and they still finished with the same record as when he played well in 2007.
  10. Yeah, the way he dominated Umeniyora during that game against the Giants in 2007 which led to him shredding his groin. Now he's got to face him twice a year.
  11. BTW, I remembered who the WR was. It was Joe Jurevicius and yes, it was Eagles fans. http://www.sptimes.com/2003/09/14/news_pf/...reach_the.shtml
  12. I would rather have James Casey.
  13. They also cheered when Michael Irvin was temporarily paralyzed. I also believe they also made fun of a WR (whose name escapes me) whose infant son died several days before a game. That's class!
  14. I meant to say that he was on his way to a HOF-type career. And then he got greedy and/or injured.
  15. Peters of 2007 was the best player. But I have to wonder how much his injury at the end of that year and a questionable desire have robbed him of what looked like a HOF-worthy career.
  16. And Philly is brutal. For a place called "the city of brotherly love," they sure have a lot of hatred. Unless they meant something else by "brotherly love."
  17. Um, that's not what I was saying at all. What I was trying to say is that his name reveals what he thinks of Peters. You don't need to search his posts. And it's his opinion, and based on last year, I can't say I blame him.
  18. He also couldn't believe the Bills traded him. What was that again, a Wonderlic of 9? He must have cheated. All I have to say Jason is, you reap what you sow. Good luck in Philly. The journalists and papers will murder you in print, and the fans will leave you death threats, if you give anything resembling the effort you gave last year.
  19. With a name like "Jason Peters-Christ," one doesn't need to look at your posts to realize your position on Peters.
  20. Look here: http://www.billszone.com/mtlog/archives/20...ry_cap_page.php Parrish has a $1M base salary in 2009, and is due to get $1.5M in "other bonus," outside his "amortized (signing) bonus." To me that says he'll make $2.5M in new money this year. But Clump could probably help us out with the real number, if I'm not reading it right. And Jackson's average is at the least encouraging. Notice how his KR average is poor, yet no one is clamoring for him to replace McKelvin there.
  21. So there were 6 sacks that were definitely on Peters and another 8 that were questionably on him? Yech. After watching the clips, I'd put it at 10.5, giving him a half sack for some plays. That's pretty poor.
  22. Well that would require Schobel to actually show-up to off-season workouts.
  23. Get a new schtick.
  24. We need to put this in perspective. In 13 games last year, Parrish had 21 punt returns for 322 yards (15.3 average) and a TD. That's an average of 1.6 punts for 24.8 yards, and 0.08 TD's, a game. While it would be nice to keep him, I can't justify keeping him for over $3M. If several teams are interested, the Bills could get a good pick out of this. And with Freddy averaging 16.6 YPR on punts last year, its not like they have no one to potentially replace him.
  25. I was combining his thoughts, not that Stroud brought his own alcohol into bars. And I would think that Lynch would get comped drinks well before long-time poster (name?) would, since Lynch brings more value, thus not needing to bring his own alcohol in.
