  1. One of the reporters mentioned that it was unlikely he had one in his contract.
  2. Again, they could use the franchise tag.
  3. From what I've read, the Bills can use the FT on TO after the season. This past off-season the tender was $9.88M, but with just Antonio Bryant getting it and Housh getting $8M a year, I can see that number falling, and at worst staying the same next year. If TO has a great season and/or Johnson and/or Hardy (and/or Fagg and/or someone else) fail to step-up, I don't think that $10M on TO is a bad investment. And one-year deals might be the best way to make sure he stay in-line.
  4. I don't think I'm out of line when I say that Nelson should be able to become a "decent," if not effective, blocker, if he works at it hard enough. I won't however claim that he will become a great/dominant blocker. And OL should be the latter whereas TE's are also receivers. But even if he doesn't become decent or effective, his receiving skills can surely help the Bills. There are a lot of receiving TE's who aren't great blockers who help out their teams.
  5. It's little different from, say, a new poster to a message board. The world is full of hope that said new poster will bring something to the board. Sometimes he/she does. Sometimes he/she doesn't. And first impressions count for a lot. But the difference between say, you, and Maybin, is that Tim Graham isn't writing an article about you. So it goes.
  6. TO was with SF for 7 years before the "Garcia is gay" stuff (which admittedly was uncalled-for) surfaced and he started to disrupt things. And getting cut by Dallas was another in a long string of bad decisions by Jerry Jones, fortunately for the Bills. Only in Philly did things sour in the 2nd season, and that was more than just on Owens.
  7. I don't think it's any secret that Nelson isn't a great blocker right now. Most of the TE's in the draft aren't. I doubt the Bills start him at TE (i.e. in 1-TE sets) this year, and instead use him in 2-TE sets.
  8. I'd assume that the landlord would tell you "that don't confront me, long as I get my money next Friday" when it comes to who occupies the room, just as long as there is someone to occupy it and pay him rent so that he doesn't have to go chasing "Wild Child" for it. So you're pretty much stuck, unless you want to create more headaches than having a lame roommate for 3 months, which you'll probably be stuck with anyway when all is said and done. And if it's for just 3 months and then you'll be done with all of them, just suck it up. In the meantime, I'd suggest you have yourself 1 bourbon, 1 scotch, and 1 beer.
  9. Hello, McFly! "Tryout" players were unsigned when they went to the Bills' rookie camp. They were essentially walk-ons. Contrast that with the UDFA's who signed a contract, and the drafted rookies who will sign larger ones later-on.
  10. TO will be a great boon to the offense and won't be a problem this year. What happens after that depends on a lot of factors.
  11. They'll be offered contracts/be brought back. Whether they make the team will depend on how they do in training camp.
  12. Blocking can be taught. Being 6'5" and 243#, running a 4.52, and having great hands, cannot.
  13. Mmmmm. A ham sammy.
  14. RIP.
  15. John Davis.
  16. They could have had June or Keiaho easily...if they wanted them.
  17. I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that the meeting Waters wanted to have with Pioli was about a contract extension.
  18. Your team cheated bud, and most think their SB's are tainted. It's little different from OJ being found not guilty of murder, but everyone knowing he did it. Sorry.
  19. The Bills have a lot more than 8 OL, even without J. Bell. They have Walker, Butler, Hangartner, D. Bell, Chambers, McKinney, Wood, Levitre, Scott, Denman, Rodd, and Philip. And while the last 3 are no names, so too is J. Bell, until proven otherwise.
  20. Do you really think the Bills could have done that and gotten the same result?
  21. Doubtful. Peppers will likely show-up for training camp. His agent isn't Eugene Parker.
  22. That Gerald Washington kid sounds intriguing. He's 6'5" and 264#, and says he can run 4.64-4.69. A little older at 27, though.
