  1. To win a game, you need to score more points than your opponent. That's why I talk more about points scored and allowed rankings than yards gained or allowed rankings. And I checked the Colts' website's message board, and the vast majority think it was a mistake to let Rhodes go, with some saying Addai should have been gone instead. http://forum.colts.com/showthread.php?t=41947
  2. The Colts weren't going to match the Raiders' 2-year $7.5M deal. That's more than Addai would have been making. The Raiders stink and had a similar situation happen with Lamont Jordan. And remember how bad Walker looked with them, only to look good with the Bills? I don't know what happened with the Colts this year. I'll have to find a Colts message board and find out.
  3. I asked you this before, but how many RB's this past year, backup RB's much less with 4 starts, had 9 TD's? Sorry but TD's (scoring) are the most important stat, period.
  4. I hope he plays just well enough to get the highest conditional pick (hopefully the Bills made it contingent on making the Pro Bowl, which apparently Peters can make while sleep-walking through a season), and then plays bad.
  5. That's so wrong, it's laughable. Actually I think I will . McNally wanted JP at OT and has been his biggest influence and supporter. And some "Bills fan growing up."
  6. Dang, that's what I get for believing what others write (re: being from Buffalo, NY). And he was the starter for the Browns at RG in 2007 for the first 8 games, and then missed the rest of the season with an injury. He started the first game at RG in 2008, but the team wanted to replace him with FA signing Rex Hadnot, who was younger and to whom they gave a much larger contract than McKinney got. And the Browns were horrible on offense last year.
  7. Two words: Eugene Parker.
  8. If that's true, $9.166M a year is hardly close to being the highest-paid LT in the game. That basically proves that Peters wanted out, period.
  9. Butler sucks?
  10. Thanks, and I missed the $450K is for 2009 part.
  11. Regarding Fowler, not a single Vikings fan (he was with them for a year) or Browns fan (3 years) said a good word about him, unlike with Hangartner. That tells me the difference between the two. And McKinney can be no worse than Dockery as a starter, and being a Buffalo boy, I'm sure he'll actually give a damn about his performance.
  12. That's strange. USA Today has it at $295K. It also said he got $1.4M in signing bonus and $887K in other bonus. Do you have a link to the NFLPA site? Thanks.
  13. Again, 2 years gets the Bills through Freddy's EFA and RFA seasons (assuming a new CBA is worked-out and players become UFA's after 4 years) for the minimum salaries, and then they do a deal if they feel he's worth it.
  14. And I should be banging Heidi Klum, not Seal.
  15. So should players give money back when they don't perform?
  16. Wow, a new GM making changes? That's a new one!
  17. I'm talking about the way it ended in Philly, i.e. in year 2. I'm hoping Peters has a great year this year and gets the Bills the highest conditional pick...and then fails miserably.
  18. Freddy might be playing ST's a lot more, if Parrish gets traded and McKelvin focuses on CB.
  19. The O-line isn't starting from scratch. The Bills had a solid right side and added a good center. And the LG spot has been an abyss for the last 5+ years, and they could plug-in any yahoo and have him produce as well as Dockery did, if not better. So in reality, they need to find their starting LT. The more I think about it, a guy like Pettigrew would make sense, since he's an excellent blocker (they could play him on the left to help the new LT) and a great outlet receiver, should teams try to blitz from that side a lot more now.
  20. Highly doubtful now. It's a 2-year deal that gets them through this year (EFA year for Freddy) and next year (RFA).
  21. It's official: http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/04/17/bills-agre...with-rb-rhodes/ It's an incentive-laden deal. I like it.
  22. Yes, nothing more except a bunch of TD's.
  23. They took another "lousy bad guy" named TO and it didn't work out too well for them.
