  1. What's sadder is that the Cardinals, a mere 2 years after opening their new state-of-the-art stadium, are having trouble selling-out their season opener.
  2. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2008/9/5/6...ared-to-move-on I know it's a fan website. But given that there has been ZERO talk of him getting an extension, I think it (them not being that high on him) is the most reasonable explanation.
  3. Jauron made a comment how having surgery 72 hours before the first game, versus 3 weeks, and the fact that they were PO'd at him, suggested to me that they told him as recently as 3 weeks ago to have surgery, but he refused. I don't know for sure, it's just a hunch.
  4. From what I've heard, the coaches were never high on him, both on and off the field. They feel he didn't give his all and thus were never going to offer him an extension. I suspect that the Bills told him all off-season (since his knees have been a problem for awhile now) to have surgery and he refused, looking to play through it and get that big contract. But it backfired. The same can be said for Merriman, although he's definitely a great player.
  5. So too does Robert Royal's leg.
  6. I figured that was the case. Funny that a player ends up being more mature than a head coach.
  7. Glad to hear they're preparing for Garrard rolling-out. That's the only solution to their interior OL problems.
  8. I find it hilarious that USA Today thinks that the Bills, whose offense is better than last year's, going against a Jacksonville defense that is worse than last year's, will score 5 fewer points. Or that the Jags and their backup-quality interior OL against the Bills' resurgent defense will even come close to 30 points.
  9. Extrapolating his numbers out over 16 games, he'd have 48 catches for 768 yards (toss in about 4-5 TD's even though he didn't score). I know it's only one game, but the 49'ers' offense doesn't look to improve much. Hardly the "showcase season" you are looking to have when you sign a 1-year deal, and I bet he gets minimum level offers next year in FA. But hey, some people have to learn the hard way.
  10. I recall hearing rumors that the Bills were interested in Wilford, but there was no real substance to them. And the deal he got wasn't exorbitant for a prospective #2 WR (but way too much for a guy who will be inactive every weekend), so they could have outbid the Fins for him if they really wanted him.
  11. Keep on prodding the bear, Jacky boy.
  12. Trade them McCargo for Dallas Clark.
  13. Did they say who started at RT when Peters was in there?
  14. Fo sho.
  15. Chris Spencer is the center for the Seahawks. The Jags' interior is comprised of journeymen backup quality players, while their tackles are the good but not great Khalif Barnes and Tony Pashos.
  16. The Patriots can thank Sammy Morris for Brady's season-ending injury. He pushes Pollard in the back as he's lunging towards Brady's mid-section and redirects him downward towards his knees. Hence the reason it wasn't a dirty play, a foul, or worthy of a fine.
  17. The talent level on defense between that squad and this year's isn't even close.
  18. Cassel is horrible. Just watch and see. Although getting to toss jump balls to Randy Moss will help.
  19. WRT center, perhaps giving Preston another try (this year) would be a good idea? I think it's apparent the Bills won't be re-signing Fowler.
  20. He must have gotten advice from the same guy who advised Crowell.
  21. Just wait until this coming Sunday. They'll probably have to triple-team him.
  22. I have a feeling that since Peters kept himself in shape during his holdout, he also got a hold of the Bills' playbook and studied it.
  23. I'm sure the Bills will look at the game film from last night's game and copy it when they face the Raiders.
  24. I'd rather see more pictures of the girl in your avatar. Link?
  25. If Porter plays, he'll be out-of-synch, since he's missed all of training camp and pre-season following hamstring surgery. And even if he plays, he probably won't be 100%.
