I'm an equal opportunity ref basher. But there were some calls in the Bills-Jags game today...

I'd be willing to give you that when it comes to the earlier mistake, but the fumble was THE GAME. It's no different than the "just give it to 'em" game where the receiver was both short of the 1st down and out of bounds, and the game would have been over right then and there. Look, bad officiating is bad officiating. Don't try to excuse it just because the team that got screwed had another chance to win it, when they should have won it earlier. How Hochuli could have ruled that it was an incomplete forward pass when the ball went backwards is a complete mystery and against the laws of physics.

It was better than the zero tackles Crowell was going to give us.

Why?

The Bills can still improve as Hardy gets more playing time and Peters gets back into the swing of things. And I'd like to see what Preston can do at center. And ideally I'd like an upgrade over Ellison, but I don't see one on the team. DiGiorgio?

Take away the stifling heat, give them back their WR's and interior OL (since the backups were allowed to hold all game), and the game ends up the same, i.e. a Bills win.

I think it shows some faith in Hardy that they drew-up a play for him at such a crucial time in the game. Thankfully he answered the bell.

Favre is in for it this week. I wonder if he's still thinking he totally made the right decision.

He made a tackle on the Jags' opening drive of the 2nd half. There were no injuries reported.

Who knows? As I said, once he gets surgery, IF he gets surgery, we'll know more about his timetable for recovery.

It seemed like the call of a guy who knew he'd been gifted the game, and decided to let the opponent win it by stopping his team. Had there not been a controversial/blown call, I doubt he does it.

With their schedule, they'll probably win their fair share of games. The Bills should win more.
