What he said 10 years ago is meaningless. Hell, he was a dem not much longer ago than that. his most recent promise on this was no new wars. At this point, I don't know if this was the correct move or not. It was (or should have been) a gut wrenching decision. We need to see the results and the retaliation before we brag about is power and lethality. Iran's regime is evil. A prolonged war is worse. We'll probably never know how close Iran actually was too a deliverable nuke.

It would seem to be in the hands of the mullahs at present. 47 made a nonveiled threat that if they don't agree to negotiate an end to this war that we will be at war and with the vast majority of their air (and other?) defenses taken out that that would not go well for them.
