  2. It didn't meet the legal requirement but holding meetings specifically about the Watson contract and how to avoid that happening going forward is collusion. Then the owners senior committee advised against the practice going forward. Is a paper trail to all teams. NFLPA wanting it sealed. Head lawyer of NFLPA part of a private equity company involved in multiple NFL franchises. Allen for instances would not push for a fully guaranteed deal. If he was properly informed and bettering the game for all players he might have. That imo should be the job of the NFLPA. One less week of OTA’s and changing a decimal on THC testing shouldn't be the headline news. Im not super invested but in July it is very interesting. It also takes a handful. Like I said Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, Jackson open the gates. Next Garret, Jefferson and other great players get it. First rd picks are starting to get fully guaranteed deals already. Slowly becomes the norm. I don't understand the purpose to agreeing to sealing the case.
  3. The Democrat case for child trafficking.
  4. I'd expect no less of Josh. I also met two of my heroes yesterday at the cricket. The Little Master Sachin Tendaulker and the incomparable Brian Charles Lara. The two finest batsmen of my and many lifetimes. Met them both on the same day. Both absolute gentlemen. I also got a tap on the shoulder at one point in the afternoon and turned around to see a former Prime Minister who I briefed a number of times when he was in office. That impressed my pals haha. One of my favourite days ever at a sporting event. The gorgeous weather we are having in London right now helps too.
  5. We are depriving these children of their futures in Mexican fentanyl factories.
  6. The other Josh was probably there too…mowing lawns.
  7. You’re probably right but this country knowingly voted for a convicted felon and accused pedophile, then watched him fill his cabinet with clueless airheads. Maybe, just maybe, it can tolerate a former lieutenant with actual brains who happens to be gay. Doubt it but who knows.
  8. Incredible, beautiful story Dawg, and well-written. JA is THE 29-yo we want leading a $4B franchise. Meanwhile, TSW needs to add a "Double Awesome" reaction. I'm looking at you @Simon!!
  9. I honestly don’t know how to read polling on the deportation stuff. Newsom sure as hell didn’t help the cause by feeling the need to defend a marijuana facility harboring illegal immigrants and unaccompanied trafficked minors that has a history of workplace safety violations. Up to this point, Dems have been successfully using the media to blue pill the Joe Rogan’s of the world on this topic, but this highlights that a lot of these stories aren’t actually what they seem .. and Newsom decided to blow the lid of a pretty bad one. Also recent polling by well respected outlets still show 50-48 in favor of deporting all illegal immigrants. Thats probably accurate with the battle being waged for the middle 20% that feel bad for the hard working farmhand or store clerk but then also become border hawks when they see this Gavin Newsom blunder or a Laken Riley occurs.
  10. Agreed Homeloser. Unfortunately due to your inconsistencies on what you call out, we deem you - full of ***t
  11. Four years ago I would have agreed with you. And you still might be right about Pete. My bet is that the country will have had enough of post-Obama dolts and will want the smartest among them (again, and for a change). I’ll add that this thing with cops running around in masks pulling people off of the street is not going to be very popular in minority communities if it spreads outside of Cali, which obviously helps Pete. Depends on the field. He’ll do well in Iowa and if he does decently in SC in a multiple candidate field he’s got a shot.
  12. Thats all well and good, but Dems have to deal with reality and Pete is going to have to do some seriously heavy lifting to (not just win back some white men) but more importantly find a way to not be polling in the single digits with black folks. If he gets smoked in the South Carolina Primary with the Dem electorate heavy black, it’s probably a wrap.
  13. Essentially my point and what I've observed elsewhere: those outside of the union's executive leadership are increasingly marginalized and treated like chaff. NBA franchises aren't going to be crippled by a contract like that, not when the team cap is 155M next year. You're advocating that, because risk comes when an athlete sustains an injury and/or production declines it's proof-positive that guaranteed contracts are bad. They're not. Risk cannot be totally eliminated and teams make decisions that go awry. It's part of life. Taking this back to the Bills, whenever Beane has wanted to cut someone's pay, the player wound up being cut not long after. NFL players have less leverage than their NBA, MLB, and NHL counterparts in many instances and this is exemplified with other franchises. What I'm seeing here is people claim that guaranteed contracts would prompt teams to be hesitant to spend. I disagree. Teams still are under pressure to win as evidenced by the yearly HC carousel and have their own guaranteed income from revenue sharing. Teams are required to spend a certain percentage and would acquiesce...which would demand being more careful particularly in UFA. It's funny to discuss this because I was once vehemently pro-management and viewed players as typically the problem.
  14. My first show was at Nassau Coliseum, Spring of 92. I knew NOTHING of this band. I worked in college radio and "hired" a guy...now my best friend...to do a Dead Show. He hooked up with Dennis McNally and got an interview with Bob Bralove, who was managing the band's hi-tech stuff in the 90s and he decided to bring me. We did the interview in NYC and then McNally took us backstage pre-show! Met Mickey and Vince but didnt see anyone else. Got THISCLOSE to Phil's rig and Mickey's beam. We wondered out to the front and the carpets on Jerry's side and were quickly told "nobody goes on the carpets" and we quickly retreated. Then we left, off to the parking lot for a typical pre-show. "Eat this" my friend said and that was that. Show started with a nice Greatest Story and everyone was dancing and I was like...this is weird. I was a metalhead at the time...still am...and Im used to an entire crowd trying to kill each other...not dance togehter. Finally Jerry did Jed and with me now in orbit from what my friend fed me...when Jerry sang "My Doggie turned to me and he said lets get back to Tennessee, Jed!", I just thought to myself "OK, I get it." And on the bus I was. There is A LOT of the "Dead Show Vibe" at Bills game tailgates. The crazy big crowds, everyone walking around, different little "events" and places to visit happening all over the place, and of course everyone walking en masse up Abbot into the game reminds me so much of walking into a Dead show. I know Im in the minority but I have no interest in The Sphere. First off, its Vegas which isnt my vibe for anything, much less a Dead show and second, I like to watch the band, itself and rarely have any use for the "graphics" any band puts up on the screens. YMMV.
  15. A better future starts when the bigots become part of the past - permanently.
  16. Exactly. That’s why the right doesn’t give a **** about due process.
  17. yup. you're right. he was more or less washed at that point is why i forgot!
  18. You are getting hung up on the fact that its the same cow being purchased...... If you bought a cow for 60 and sold it for 70, then bought a different cow for 80 and sold it for 90, the profit would be 20 bucks....therefore why would it be different if it was the same cow?? You are getting the full purchase price plus an additional ten dollars back on the second sale....10+10=20.
