Those of us who cover the president can see he's constantly in meetings, dealing with issues, or addressing the media, unlike Joe Biden, who frequently had a very sparse schedule and called a lot of early lids. On Tuesday, Trump did a live Cabinet meeting that went on for three hours, something you could never imagine Joe Biden doing, certainly not with the involvement and control of the meeting that Trump had, covering a wide variety of topics. They could potentially save $2 mill in accelerated dead money if they re-sign him before the start of the league year. Of course they wouldn’t actually save money in re-signing him but it would help ease some of the dead cap while bringing in a vet presence if a guy like Carter isn’t up for it.
