  1. Past hour
  2. You need to make up your mind. When I said what did you consider a "championship team" this year you said: Then you said I was right when I said we have the better QB, RB, and TE. When I questioned you on what made the patsy's a "championship team" the only thing you could point to was ONE Wide receiver. This is the reality. The patriots are a game and a half ahead of the bills. They are that way because of the schedule they played and the bills crapping the bed when they played them. That happens every season with every team, not just the Bills. The Chiefs probably wont even make the playoffs this year, that doesn't mean the Patriots are a better team, that means the Chiefs had a murderers row of a schedule (like the Bills) and the patriots did not. At this point in the season there are 5 teams so bad they are eliminated from playoff contention already, of those 5 teams the patriots lost to one (the raiders 2-10) and they beat two ( saints 2-10 and Titans 1-11) they also beat the Joe Burrow Less Bengal's, the 3-9 Browns and lost to the same Steelers team we beat today. They get to play another one (Giants) this week. They did not and will not play the chiefs, Ravens, Eagles, or Bengals with Joe Burrow. The bills did or will. That is not a "championship team" Its a middle of the road team with a weak schedule. I know that this week they get to beat up on the 2-10 NY giants which will probably further solidify in your mind that they are a "champion team". Sure thing buddy.
  3. Well, I was going to start a new thread called "WINTER IS COMING"! Because what we all saw against the Steelers is exactly what's needed going forward. That Pittsburgh front defensive line is no joke, and this team outright manhandled them while rushing for 249 yards against that team in their stadium. You know what can stop a top passing offense? That howling, blustery wind in Rich-the Ralph, err, New Era stadium is known as one of the worst venues if the winds are strong, and the snow? Does anyone else recall that Colts game a few years ago? "And pretty alarming for Pittsburgh (6-6). On a blustery day that made passing treacherous, the Steelers knew they were going to be tested by one of the NFL's best rushing teams. They failed repeatedly. Buffalo held the ball for nearly 42 minutes and probably could have taken control earlier if not for a pair of first-half turnovers." "The swirling winds at one of the league's trickiest venues made passing nearly impossible for both teams. Allen completed 15 of 23 for 123 yards with an interception and a 3-yard scoring toss to Keon Coleman, who returned to the active roster after being a healthy scratch the last two weeks due to disciplinary issues." https://www.espn.com/nfl/recap/_/gameId/401772789
  4. Please make this happen this offseason. 1st this year, 2nd next, and your choice of any offensive player not named Josh or James.
  5. Think you don’t get him for anything less than a first and a second if not two 1’s. He’s still relatively young and on a reasonable deal for where that position $ is headed to give a #1 guy of his quality.
  6. You would think they were after that crazy no call on unnecessary roughness during that slide by Josh. Funny that Queen went out and didn’t return not long after that play. Big loss for that defense.
  7. Totally did not see that result coming. The offensive line was awesome given what we were down. TJ Watt was indeed a non factor!! Steeler fans next to us were wondering why they weren’t just sending the house against the run every play. Thought that myself. Make the Bills beat them by the pass. Awesome game, awesome result. The run defense was a sight to behold too. Things look good going forward. Joey Boss sack and fumble return by Benford turned the game on its head! Nice to see 47 show what he was capable of last season Definitley. Defense was quality from the second quarter onwards. Theres many who feel they should have traded him and got something in return for the future. Got to agree there.
  8. The pattern has been to follow up a game like this with a 💩 game so...
  9. I'd say the whole Pittsburgh team took a knee to the gut 😐
  10. Crazy to be how much this board swings week to week. Despite what we saw against a back up QB and a guy collecting social security with one arm, this defense can/will revert to against more functional offenses. All the focus is on the offense right now, but this defense is far from “book it” level. Forget about the obvious lack of playmakers outside. Within that, Brady’s scheme has regressed and teams are much better prepared for it now. Allen is not playing with confidence, accuracy, or any degree of decisiveness. Not saying this to place blame, he needs more help, clearly, but he’s also missing layups at times. His energy level is total dog crap for long periods which is a reflection of the team as a whole and its inconsistent play. While most the AFC teams have some serious flaws and are capable of being beat, I’m not sure if this team can win 3 in a row against .500 level teams at this stage. They’re a wild card caliber squad, not much more. I don’t think winning out is possible, they just aren’t consistent enough. Even with the flawed contenders, they’re playing with far more consistency, swag, or unit specific dominance. Things we just don’t have. We don’t have a unit as dominant as Houston or Denver’s defense. We don’t have the confidence/swag of the Patriots, who feel more like the early iterations of the Bills before the fun got sucked out. Jacksonville and the Chargers are just playing better football on both sides and again, more confidence, swag, youth. This Bills team just looks like it’s been battling to stay on top of a mountain all year. But it’s stopped trying to climb higher for awhile now. Other teams might not be world beaters, but they’re clearly trying to continue the climb.
  11. Too 1 dimensional. Stop the run and the bills are cooked
  12. The first coolest chick I really ever met introduced me to this song. Cool chicks are some form of hidden treasure on this planet- and I'm sure just as problematic as the rest of us are.
  13. This may have been said but yesterday shows why there were complaints about the defense against the Texans. The offense was anaemic in the first half, but the defense kept us in it. They didn't give away a back breaking drive at the end of the half. They gave the offense time to find their footing, and stick to the original game plan. Sometimes that is required. And that was missing in Houston.
  14. Offensive line had a great game yesterday. Once Anderson calmed down, line blocked well. Wonder why this wasn’t the same game plan for the Houston game? Don’t believe we would have won, but it may have been closer. Houston’s defenders are much faster to the ball then the Steelers, so not sure how much of a difference it would have made…other than not getting Josh beat up last week.
  15. Did I say "we won't make the playoffs"? No - I don't think I did. I said this is not a Championship team. And by Championship, I'm talking about a Super Bowl Champion. Though I don't really see an AFC Champion either. And no - I don't think it's "curious reasoning" to suggest a team with a better QB and RB with no passing game doesn't trump a team with a lesser QB and RB that has a passing game. And while Josh is better than Maye, I don't think you'll find many that say he's performing better than Maye right now. The point isn't *a* WR. The point is we have no passing game. No WR. Zero. Nada. Zilch. We're scrambling to sign Gabe Davis off the Practice Squad. Brandin Cooks and Mecole Hardman off the street. And you know why that is? Because we are NOWHERE. That's the crux of it. You can argue strength of schedule and compare things on paper all you want. It's not trumping results. And the results are we are a PAINFULLY one dimensional team. It's not the 40's and 50's. A great run game and a horrific passing game can't win a title.
  16. Today
  17. It’s Josh Allen on your side, anything can happen. Will they win out? Probably not. After the first 4 games, they are 3-5 and we are 4-4. Great win yesterday, but neither team has been world beaters. Although, I believe the bills are better than their record, they need to prove it consistently.
  18. Well now...... That is odd because in your comment you just mentioned a running back and a wr. Now you are saying our running back is better and our QB is better. Now I must admit that I also think Kincaid is a better Tight end the Henry so unless you disagree with that then I guess you think A WR makes a team significantly better then another a team with a better QB, running back, and tight end? That is some some curious reasoning. Actually seeing you in January means things will play out the way most people (and every stat and sport book in the the USA) thinks they will play out with the Bills and Patriots both making the playoffs. If you think that wont happen you are in the minority. But yes, Bookmarked. 🙂
  19. Bills down by 7 and just got a first down. Josh looking to get up and get to the next play. If the defender is slow rolling getting off a player (which Hayward basically admitted to doing), that player has every right to stand up. Josh did and if his knee may have hit him in the gut…so be it.
  20. It's getting pretty obvious The President of the United States of America is barely capable of feeding himself at this point, and I'm not a doctor- but I do know what propping up a puppet looks like. Question for any prescribers- what have they put him on for the more 'public' appearances? Looking at this ghastly shell of a washed-up Hollywood D-rate actor, I can't even imagine how much ***** they've shot-up into him to keep bloviating for the brief, precious moments.
  21. I’d for sure sign him. Culture fit. Been playing great. Have other needs and don’t need to create another need by not signing him. Won’t be cheap, but there is some savings if signed versus dead cap.
  22. This from the guy who thinks the Bills are going to win out?
  23. This is worse than Shavers being the next Stallworth....
  24. That's great. I'd agree with you that I'd rather have Josh and Cook over Maye and Henderson. And if a QB and a RB was all you needed, we'd have the Pats in spades. The difference is, they have a passing game. They have weapons beyond their QB and RB. We simply do not. They aren't "my boys". I hate the Patriots like any Bills fan. But that's not going to change the fact that they (and other teams in the AFC) can take care of business through the air. Until we can develop a passing game, we cannot compete when it matters. If you're "seeing me in January" - that means things have changed. That means against the odds, we were able to make it work through the air with, quite possibly, the worst group of WR's at getting open I've ever seen. But after 13 weeks, I don't see that changing. But all means, bookmark away. I'd be thrilled to be wrong about this offense and the fact that I don't see a Championship roster.
  25. Because we obviously learned nothing from the von Miller deal
  26. I would rather have cook then Henderson and I would rather have Josh Allen then Drake Maye, but you do you. Again, if your going to talk about "championship team" and your going to say the patriots are that "championship team" with the schedule they have played then we will agree to disagree But the good thing about competition is we get to see who is right, so really there is no ambiguity. I will book mark this thread and we will see if cook and Allen are better then your boys in NE. See you in January
