  2. I won't post in that trash thread. UPDATE: WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after experiencing an allergic reaction, her spokeswoman said. “She is alert and recovering,” said the statement from department spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin, who said the hospital treatment was out of an “abundance of caution.” Noem, 53, heads a sprawling department with roughly 260,000 employees handling immigration enforcement, airport security, disaster response and other matters. She has been among the more high-profile members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet, traveling extensively and maintaining a robust social media presence. https://apnews.com/article/kristi-noem-homeland-security-immigration-border-hospital-acab815b1bc9db61b1c90a1f17abeecb
  3. I hope the national guard isn't called up to deal with this false story. The Roundy massive Ls just keep piling up.
  4. I get as down as anyone when Keon doesn’t perform but he’s a rookie, late pick the the round and our offense is usually really damn good. So I am happy rooting for the kid to have a solid career and anything else is gravy.

  7. Common sense on the upswing ? Ezra Klein: Why the Left is Losing on Trans Issues John Sexton Ezra Klein has an interview with Rep. Sarah McBride, the first trans congressperson, about why Democrats are losing on these issues. I don't know who wrote the headline for this but it's currently titled "Sarah McBride on Why the Left Lost on Trans Rights." That seems a bit too final and definitive for me, or maybe just misleading. The left hasn't lost on trans rights, at least not for the most part. What they have done is lost the public's favor by doubling down on a few narrow issues where they have little support https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2025/06/17/ezra-klein-why-the-left-is-losing-on-trans-issues-n3803904
  8. DNC Shedding Public Employee Union Bosses by David Strom Sunday turned out to be the night of the long knives in the Democratic Party. Two top union leaders--from public employee unions, no less--have resigned from the Democratic National Committee. Randi Weingarten, colloquially known as "The Devil" in some circles, and the less well-known but nearly as important Lee Saunders of AFSCME have left the Democratic National Committee. (X) Both are leaving due to disputes with the relatively new Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Ken Martin, who until recently was the Chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party {snip} Things are not all well at the DNC. As you recall, David Hogg was just kicked out of his position as Vice Chairman of the Party for being of the wrong gender as well as for wanting to drive the party further to the left by supporting leftist challengers to Democratic incumbents in safe seats. Weingarten supported that effort as well, suggesting she thinks that Martin is too conservative. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2025/06/16/dnc-shedding-public-employee-union-bosses-n3803838

  11. Look, I'm seeing this from the inside, and am admittedly biased towards our president (and my friend), but there's a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue: First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal. The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment. And he said repeatedly that this would happen one of two ways--the easy way or the "other" way. Second, I've seen a lot of confusion over the issue of "civilian nuclear power" and "uranium enrichment." These are distinct issues. Iran could have civilian nuclear power without enrichment, but Iran rejected that. Meanwhile, they've enriched uranium far above the level necessary for any civilian purpose. They've been found in violation of their non-proliferation obligations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is hardly a rightwing organization. It's one thing to want civilian nuclear energy. It's another thing to demand sophisticated enrichment capacity. And it's still another to cling to enrichment while simultaneously violating basic non-proliferation obligations and enriching right to the point of weapons-grade uranium.
  12. People, the last time the Bills drafted and developed a RB with Cook's production level was 20 years ago. If it takes 20 years to find a good starting running back, doesn't it seem wise to keep the one you got while your in the SB window of Josh's career?
  13. It has been for 80 years. It's clearly not working, but that's the neo-con way.

  15. I think to truly make progress both sides need to rethink their arguments. For example, here in this thread we have people talking policy and you are talking politics. Politics is the theatrical nonsense. That is not the same as policy. Politics is the emotional BS, policy is business. We should debate policy.
