  3. Common sense on the upswing ? Ezra Klein: Why the Left is Losing on Trans Issues John Sexton Ezra Klein has an interview with Rep. Sarah McBride, the first trans congressperson, about why Democrats are losing on these issues. I don't know who wrote the headline for this but it's currently titled "Sarah McBride on Why the Left Lost on Trans Rights." That seems a bit too final and definitive for me, or maybe just misleading. The left hasn't lost on trans rights, at least not for the most part. What they have done is lost the public's favor by doubling down on a few narrow issues where they have little support https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2025/06/17/ezra-klein-why-the-left-is-losing-on-trans-issues-n3803904
  4. DNC Shedding Public Employee Union Bosses by David Strom Sunday turned out to be the night of the long knives in the Democratic Party. Two top union leaders--from public employee unions, no less--have resigned from the Democratic National Committee. Randi Weingarten, colloquially known as "The Devil" in some circles, and the less well-known but nearly as important Lee Saunders of AFSCME have left the Democratic National Committee. (X) Both are leaving due to disputes with the relatively new Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Ken Martin, who until recently was the Chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party {snip} Things are not all well at the DNC. As you recall, David Hogg was just kicked out of his position as Vice Chairman of the Party for being of the wrong gender as well as for wanting to drive the party further to the left by supporting leftist challengers to Democratic incumbents in safe seats. Weingarten supported that effort as well, suggesting she thinks that Martin is too conservative. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2025/06/16/dnc-shedding-public-employee-union-bosses-n3803838

  6. Is that the womanizer who abuses all those girls on the innerwebs?
  7. Look, I'm seeing this from the inside, and am admittedly biased towards our president (and my friend), but there's a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue: First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal. The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment. And he said repeatedly that this would happen one of two ways--the easy way or the "other" way. Second, I've seen a lot of confusion over the issue of "civilian nuclear power" and "uranium enrichment." These are distinct issues. Iran could have civilian nuclear power without enrichment, but Iran rejected that. Meanwhile, they've enriched uranium far above the level necessary for any civilian purpose. They've been found in violation of their non-proliferation obligations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is hardly a rightwing organization. It's one thing to want civilian nuclear energy. It's another thing to demand sophisticated enrichment capacity. And it's still another to cling to enrichment while simultaneously violating basic non-proliferation obligations and enriching right to the point of weapons-grade uranium.
  8. People, the last time the Bills drafted and developed a RB with Cook's production level was 20 years ago. If it takes 20 years to find a good starting running back, doesn't it seem wise to keep the one you got while your in the SB window of Josh's career?
  9. It has been for 80 years. It's clearly not working, but that's the neo-con way.

  11. I think to truly make progress both sides need to rethink their arguments. For example, here in this thread we have people talking policy and you are talking politics. Politics is the theatrical nonsense. That is not the same as policy. Politics is the emotional BS, policy is business. We should debate policy.

  13. If I had to pick someone to play QB for the 2025 season, I’d pick Allen. Lamar would be next. Burrow would be 3rd and Mahomes 4th. Yes, that’s what I would pick. Mahomes hasn’t been the reason for their success over the last few years. He’s been good in the clutch and they’ve had crazy luck (12-0 in 1 score games). I think those other guys impact games more now than Pat does. You’re free to put out your list 1-32…
  14. "Iran should surrender." Where have I heard this before? Oh, I remember now: "The policy of the United States is regime change."
  15. This was the photo I was trying to upload. Thanks to my wife and happy Father’s Day to me!
  16. I think you should eat 4th&schlong's balloon knot.
