Allen is not floundering. Caleb and Nix will never be great. Maye maybe joining Allen, Burrors and Mahomes as the top tier.

Of course you do. And that's nothing against you. That's what he does best. He states points that are very obvious and most people agree on. Then, because he's saying exactly what everyone else is he's lauded for it. Seriously, most of the time I've listened to him I hear him saying things that were brought up right here by random posters a week or two before he says it. He's very good at making people feel that what they already thought is validated. And that's not a knock on him either. He found a niche and cashes in on it. Good for him.

I've been on the fence about this as well. Do I want to face this reality? Does Coleman? Is he mature enough to realize the importance of his game today? What can he do? Athletically he is limited and we already know Josh can make chemistry with him but will it be natural? Will Coleman put his mind to it? Is there a leader on the team who's not creampuff wordy words like Dawkins who can hold him accountable? Do we have a Hollins, Hughes, Diggs, or Lee Smith or Hyde? Maybe Poyer will get the chance to realize his leadership role as we hit the homestretch. Ty Johnson is the unsung leader of the offense (no kidding) if people did not know. Will Johnson be able to speak to him and get him up?

defense isn't gonna change until McD is gone, and I think most of us don't believe they'll get rid of him. not yet anyway. biggest issue with his defense, is that even when we are statistically good, it's a scheme that doesn't work against the best, when it matters most. maybe it would if we had an entire defense of all-pros, but that isn't anybody's reality. weirdly, the offense feels similarly inefficient in some ways. that's to say that our numbers are kind of good, but the change just doesn't come when we absolutely need it. and often against very inferior opposition. but it's an issue where as a fanbase, we'll only be satisfied with perfection. we've had several years of being awesome but not good enough. and we just want that ONE DAMN SUPER BOWL. you'd think the odds would line up for us to do it one time.

Another indictment of this staff is that they need to bring people in who know their system, but their system defensively is absolute trash. I mean, if you need specific people to play a system, at least make it a good one.
