Bills cuts are

Let's see what the scouts have to say about him, shall we?

Are you serious in posting that? The only positive thing that report said was that Kelsay was average. Glad I'm not the only one who picked up the contradiction that 90 is a decent pass rusher who never is in the same area code as the QB.

Geez, dude. Ever heard of diazepam?

And, I believe that the Bills do rotate D lineman (to include the D ends) on obvious passing downs. So, to sub in a pass rushing specialist on a 3rd and 10 for the better run stopping end is an appropriate tactic. I don't see how the cover 2 defense has anything to do with it.

Rotating players and nickel/dime packages are completely different. Kelsey gets paid at the top of his position and you think it's okay if he is a two down player? What happenes if they throw on 2nd? Maybe he can just play on 1st down. Ridiculous.

Why did the team even bring Stupar to camp? The guy did everything he could have possibly have done to make the team. He was the best player of the preseason in camp and gets cut? What more could they have been looking for? Fine and Schoumen are both subpar TE's in this league and I would have rather started Nelson and Stupar than those two stiffs.

"Kelsay is a solid pass rusher but has never been a big producer in this area."

I'm glad you get your knowledge from Billy Bob's Scouting Service. They lost all credibility when they said the he is a "solid pass rusher"? He has 17 career sacks in 7 years! Then Billy Bob contradicts himself in the same breath by saying, "But he's never been a big producer in that area"?????? I don't know what to make of that statement. Here's a statement that makes sense, Kelsey is a terrible pass rusher totalling 10 sack in the last 3 years. Go back and watch the games bro. He's playing "Dancing with the Stars" with every RT he comes into contact with!

You can be a decent pass rusher and not get sacks. Especially at LDE.

He's probably going on the Practice Squad tomorrow & will be available if needed.

Kelsay is an average DE. To say he sucks is retarded, and in case you didn't notice... LDEs are used more for stopping the run, rather than rushing the passer. LDE's generally don't get sacks because they are bigger, and the QB can see them coming.

I'm with ya. This team's inability to recognize talent bewilders me.

With Stupar you have to remember that most of his catches were against other guys who were cut today, but...he showed an ability to get open and he held on to the ball. Hopefully he's on the PS tomorrow.

Seriously? Hey, they're going to be lining up for plenty of punts and kickoff returns, you know.

(Not that I disagree with you.)

Yeah, when you're coming off back to back to back 7-9 seasons and your roster is loaded you do have the luxury of carrying players who are only STers. That stiff legged SOB couldn't cover dear ol' Beerball. :worthy:

Stupar was their best TE all preseason. Stupid.

Copeland Bryan? He was one of their best D linemen all preseason.

Do they not watch the games prior to making cuts?

Do they just stick with what their vets at EVERY position? What a buncha morons we have running this team.

We are DOOMED.

:worthy: you, Jauron!

When I saw Bryan at the Pittsburgh game he was around the play or making a play 1 out of every 4-5. The other plays he was just getting blown up because he couldn't keep his separation from the O-lineman. He'd be a big liability in a real game. He's a practice squad project if he's even still eligible. At least Kelsay and Denney don't get blown up quite as much as he does. We really do need to replace those 2 though. I expect Ellis to really expand his playing time with experience this year. Not sure if he'll be a dominant DE but easily better than the Kelsay/Denney monster.

I've been saying for years that Bobby April has way too much influence on who makes the final roster. When you keep people like Wendling and Corto, and cut people like Bryan and Stupar, your roster gets cluttered up with people who are never going to be anything more than good ST players. You have fewer young players developing, so the team stagnates and never improves from year to year.

I was going through the numbers guessing who might be the inactives assuming everybody is healthy. I don't see how they'll be able to keep all 5 DE active. Ellis would typically be the odd man out, inactive.

At least Corto is a good ST player and could play linebacker for a game ao two if needed. Wendling just does'nt stand out on ST's and is a poor safety. His roster spot would have been better filled by Stupar or Bowen or Chambers for that matter.

This is really too bad. What exactly were they expecting him to do in order to make the team. He was the biggest producer on our team and was one of the best in the NFL during preseason. This just sends the wrong message; it doesn't matter how well you perform because making the team isn't about playing your heart out and producing.

I usually don't say this, but I really hope another team picks him up and he lights it up for them. The man deserves a job.
