Some people would sign Charles Manson if they thought he could throw a football...since he can't, they hitched their wagon to the closest thing

...but enough of teams like Denver, who feature woman abusers like Brandon Marshall, or St. Louis and Cleveland, who have guys who like to drink and drive....and kill....on their rosters.

But hey, they didn't kill dogs...

True. But a sustained, organized activity of collecting animals to fight and kill each other for yucks and profit, tying up animals to be shredded alive by others, speaks for itself. As well as the out-and-out denial to the Falcon's owner.

My post did not advocate Vick's actions. Just pointing out how out of whack priorities are w/ folks. Sorry, but even though I am a dog owner and dog lover (never thought I'd say that, being a cat owner for most of my life), I do not value my dog over a human life. To me, people should be just as disgusted w/ what Little, Stallworth, and Marshall did as what Vick did. The fact that they are not is very troubling.

I'd also add that as dumb and reckless the decisions Stallworth and Little made were, they weren't intentional. Vick intentionally fought dogs and murdered them in a sick way.

I don't think Little or Stallworth (no team is going to sign him because he wasn't really that good anyways) should play in the league either.

As for Marshall, I don't think he's even been convicted in a court of law.

Naivete: Getting behind the wheel of a car after having too much to drink and not expecting bad things to happen.

Agreed but unfortunately at least 50% if not more of Americans are guilty of this. I don't think the statistics are as high for torturing and murdering dogs or giving women herpes.

On what? Did I say I wanted him gone? No, I did not... I had this exact conversation with Adam in another (no wait, it is this) thread... the vibe in Philly is that Reid is on very thin ice. Should he be? That is another question entirely.

I realize that many Bills fans, in their frustration over Peters and other things, got to fellating the Eagles for their brilliant signing, but from here in Philly I can tell you that there is a lot of criticism of Reid and the Eagles FO, and a growing nervousness about their future with aging players. Is it completely sensible? Probably not. Just as most of the chicken littling here on TSW is nonsensical. But outside of the smug confines of New England and probably Pittsburgh, you will not find many fans completely happy with their teams or their coaches. That is what fans do.

I got the impression you could validate his dismissal. I'm of the opinion it would be a difficult sell. I now understand your stance.

Is it safe to assume the Philly faithful call for his head because he hasn't won the big one? Man, I wish we had that problem. We're looking for a measly playoff appearance and in Philly, multiple championship appearances grows old.

Spoiled by success.

Funny how fans view their own situations, aint it?

Peace!

I was a kid during the Super Bowl years and remember thinking the Bills were a bunch of losers because they lost those games. My how time has changed. Plus, Philly fans are the worst in the league. I wish them nothing but the worst. They deserve Vick.

Stallworth is still on the Browns. He's been suspended for the year.

Also, the sanctimony should be reserved only for those who have NEVER imbibed alcohol and subsequently driven a car (I suspect there aren't many on this board).

The rest of you can STFU. There is little difference between Stallworth and the sainted Bruuuuuce Smith--except Smith (a serial drunk driver) is far more fortunate that no one ever darted in front of his drunkmobile. And he was just elected to the (Drunk Driving) Hall of FAme!

Who's not disgusted by Little, Stallworth, and Marshall's actions? Not sure which "people" you are referring to? Those particular players haven't been rumored to be coming to the Bills, unlike Vick, so it hasn't been prominently discussed here. Doesn't mean it's acceptable behavior..

Agreed. Our society seems to get colder, harder with each passing year. I am very weary, my friend.
