Then again, a team that felt fine with Ellison probably enjoys the signing of a sixth round pick who played 9 games with the team we were able to score 50+ points on. You say it like they publicly announced Pat Thomas is going to be our starting OLB and he will be taking a few snaps under center this year. Take a few deep breaths and count to ten. The team likes his speed and hitting abilities, and if it wasn't for his injury, could've seen increased playing time in '06. Strengths: Speed, good hitter, special teams. Weaknesses: Doesn't cover particularly well, isn't sudden. ^this from Jaguars scouts in 07 I think he will be on the roster barring injury..when do we not keep a guy whos strength is special teams But starting OLB is still a problem Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He was not invited to the combine after his senior season and was timed at 4.86 in the forty. Looks like a backup/special teams/camp body type player.
