CB - Mcgee, McKelvin, Corner, Youb, Florence, Byrd? S - Whitner, Scott, Depth - Byrd? Wilson, Simpson HC - Jauron Are we a Playoff team on paper??
  2. What we DO know: at 11, Kiper picked Ayers for us, McShay picked Maybin. We now know that NEITHER of these guys will be our pick. Experts are wrong a lot with us, and the Bills like to make a point about it (see donte whitner) CB jenkins is a defensive back from ohio state who will be available at 11. I dont care if our DBs are Deion Sanders, Champ Bailey, Ed Reed and John Lynch. There is a chance we will take jenkins. Our biggest holes in my opinion go as follows 1) LT 2) OLB 3) LG 4)DE/TE/SS Again, just my opinion, but I know everyone wants a defensive end at 11 or pettigrew, but we have a lot of money invested in kelsay, and a healthy schobel would solve our pass rush. And adding TO gave us another weapon we needed passing, we dont need a high pick on another. BUT lets make it clear, LT,LG, OLB, DE,TE, S are the needs. Therefore, we are the bills, 1, possibly 2, of our top 3 picks, will NOT be at those positions. Comments?
  3. I like it too, although my ideal draft is different I would be fine with yours. I like larry english alot, his 32 sacks in 4 years shows hes a good pass rushing LB, and could fill two holes for us. Ive been the one saying e brown all year at 11, but LT is a much bigger need now and a lot of people are finding holes in Browns game.
  4. were not getting curry unless we trade up, which isnt that bad of an idea
  5. Lets look at the pros and cons of making a move like this, which in my mind is 50/50 Why to keep: Roscoe is possibly best PR in the league Maybe best player at his position on team Speed threat as WR Nose is clean unlike bills stars lately / has been good teamate (got a nice contract a few years ago w/o a holdout, eh hem!) downgrades our best asset, special teams Why to trade: We have other good potential PR's WR who is no help in red zone Getting rid of his contract gives us money to sign Peters, which is IMPORTANT Getting a late pick for him gives us depth at a diff position, which we could use more depth not at WR Bobby April is so good who we stick back there might succeed anyway Comments?
  6. josh reed is a better reciever than parrish btw. Parrish can;t fight off a corner. He can only catch a very occasional deep ball
  7. unfortunately, this would be a good move. Moving him for a late pick would give us the money to pay peters. We have plenty of guys who would punt return and do a decent job, Johnson and hardy will be better recieving threats than him, and we secure peters.
  8. hangartner is a starter, he started for that good carolina running game. So two starters. but we do only have enough money left under the cap for our draft, so, maybe we couldnt afford any more. I think we tried to get a OLB but none had the right price
  9. schobel is fine, i kno many people say he makes no big sacks, but the bills havent been good enough to put him in the situation to get a big sack, like in the playoffs. For many years he alwas got his sacks until he got hurt. Nothing you can do about that. Him being healthy next year might be the biggest improvement of all. Kelsay on the other hand can go. Denney does more by batting passes and being stout vs the run. Kelsay has done nothing since being in the league. Hes been a leader, so when the bills were a young team levy locked him up to help the young guys. But he needs to go or do better if the bills are to be better.
  10. TO will help us a lot offensively, therefore will help us make the playoffs. As i see it, i think he will help out the running game a lot, as 8 in the box is something defenses wont try with him and evans split wide. Hes also a huge read zone threat, probably the best red zone threat at WR in the league outside moss. He makes our team better without a doubt.
  11. he has to be incredibly raw for a DE if he also played tight end, we dont need anymore projects maybe if hes there in the later rounds
  12. recent mock drafts and many mock drafts has us taking maybin, not him being dropped, especially after his improved times. And how can u say brown wont be there and raji will? all these raji posts are a waste of time, he def wont be there. brown at least has a shot at being there and a corner back from ohio st is never not an option
  13. these are unrealistic choices? based on needs and players? so what are the realistic ones?
  14. personally not sure if we go brown or maybin with kelsay/schobel contracts dont like pettigrews off field problems so what do we do?
  15. i doubt we will get rogers, although i doubted we would get TO...
  16. were not drafting pettigrew with his off field problems, and we have bigger needs
  17. whatever he gets, he'll appeal it and get it reduced, thats why i think he'll miss two games at the most
  18. yeah were probably done, rookies are visiting now, not free agents
  19. who are we drafting this year, i feel like nobody worthy of our 11 pick is a good fit
  20. hopefully hes moved to guard...does anyone like connor barwin? because i do
  21. Pat Thomas Pat Thomas is a former sixth round pick in '05, and has missed a lot of playing time due to various injuries. The team likes his speed and hitting abilities, and if it wasn't for his injury, could've seen increased playing time in '06. Strengths: Speed, good hitter, special teams. Weaknesses: Doesn't cover particularly well, isn't sudden. ^this from Jaguars scouts in 07 I think he will be on the roster barring injury..when do we not keep a guy whos strength is special teams But starting OLB is still a problem
  22. another running back is not a glaring hole. Freddy is fine for 1-2 games by himself, he proved it last year. Running back is NOT a need, but a luxury to have another decent one. Also getting Peters signed is NOT a glaring need. He said hes not holding out this year. He also was not the Peters from the year before, i mean we watched the games we all saw that. If he doesnt want the contract we offer, play better and we'll offer a better one. OG = neeeeed OLB = neeeed pass rushing DE/LB = need TE / S = possible need based on our front office decisions. Are they high on B Scott (I am)? Are the high on Fine? Or are they not? Also, pass rushing need could very well be fixed with one thing...a healthy schobel A healthy schobel makes our line a lot better. So bills fans relax. We have 2 glaring needs, and possible needs in other areas, just like almost every team in the league. The draft / maybe another free agent will do the trick. we dont have 6 glaring needs.
  23. loved it, lets get dick a coaching manual
  24. they should give fine a shot this year, and not draft a tight end in round 1 or 2. Hes young and lookd ok last year. Id rather take a OG and a pass rusher with those picks
