actually, Jim did praise JP a couple years ago...but not to the extent that he's praised Trent

He made a few comments on 97Rock the other day about Trent, but it appears the podcast of that interview is no longer available

He gets $$ for doing these things.

Jim knows which side his bread is buttered on. He always praises whoever is the starter. He'd be an idiot to do otherwise.

I kind of laughed at one piece from the article linked above. He very reasonably praises Trent for his decision making skills, but then goes on to say that in the Cleveland game last year, he proved his arm strength. Hunh? Did Jim see that game?

He saw what you were too blind to see-during the final drive, they finally let Trent do something they wouldn't let him do most of the game-throw downfield. He was accurate in the snowstorm, even though he'd been handcuffed by Fairchild the entire game and not permitted to make those attempts earlier.

It's funny how Trent's detractors have pointed to the Cleveland & Giants' games while ignoring conditions that caused his stat sheet to be less than stellar. Additionally they convieniently forget the bad weather home game against Miami and blame Fairchild for JP's failures, yet, when Fairchild contributed to Trent's failures all you hear from them is dead silence.

They also forget that Derek Anderson and Eli Manning had similarly crappy stats in the bad weather.

Has Jim Kelly made any comments on Trent Edwards? I am under the impression he was not a JP fan.

Jim Kelly is a big BILLS Fan and has encouraged and said good things almost on all the QBs that have started for the Bills since he retired including JP.
