Please you think the guy doesn’t want to play? The Bills don’t want him to play?  This game while important is not the season. It keeps the Bills alive for the division that is all. If the Bills win out and the Pats lose to the Phins and the Bills, they grab the division. I’d rather have Benford for the stretch run vs today. This is frustrating but imagine being Benford.

Many players played with far worse for less money back in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. These guys today make way more money and don't play with the slightest boo boos

If you want to extend your prime and not let a nagging injury become a chronic one, you allow time for it to heal properly.

 

Again, a toe ruined the prime of Deion Sanders.

He was 37 years old when he retired. Time caught up with him not his turf toe

His years with the Ravens was after he returned to the game from a 4 year retirement.

 

*Hell, lingering effects from the injury almost killed him about year or so ago.  

 

He ended up having that toe and 2 more amputated.

So you want to see Benford out there even if he is 2 steps slower than Diggs opposed to Tre who might be only 1 step slower than Diggs, got it! Glad your not the coach!

I would say white is more like 4 or 5 steps slower. He has been that bad all year.

No, they are right.  Sanders got that injury in 96 and played through it all year and made it worse if i remember correctly, I also remember him laying on a table and unable to play in the playoffs vs carolina.  It was an issue for him going forward from that point and he was never the same.

He was old. That’s all I’m saying. 37 years old is ancient in the NFL. Especially at Cb. Father Time caught up with him.

that is when he retired but after the injury and constant issues with it he never really was the dynamic athlete he had been after about 98 ish.  I remember him trying to play wr on those cowboys teams and he just was not the same athlete anymore.
