Benford had a good game, but the Bills were absolutely shredded overall on defense and it's hard for me to see voters responsible for paying attention to 14-15 games locating the gem in the sea of crap.

I don't know, I'd like to think the voters pay close enough attention to know that he gave up zero catches against his coverage in addition to the sack and the pick six. I think the reasoning others gave is correct - for whatever reason the voters aren't willing to have the POTWs be from the same team.

Somehow Benford was snubbed for Rasul Douglas of all people.

You know, I took a look.  Douglas had two tackles, five passes defended, and an interception. He was assigned to John Metchie, who had 34 yards receiving on the day. Nice day for Douglas, until you do the comparison.

Benford had one tackle and one pass defended, and an interception.  Benford had a sack. Benford's interception was a pick six for a touchdown that probably won the game.  And Benford was man on man on LaMarr Chase, arguably the best receiver in the league, and gave up 44 yards.

Chase has had five straight 1000 yard seasons.  Metchie's best SEASON was 254 yards. Chase's best GAME was 266 yards.

Tell me again who had the better day.

Benford had the better day but in order for him to win two weeks in a row I suspect that they needed to see historic numbers by him.

The first one was on Burrow for sure. Almost looked like his hand slipped on the ball when releasing it. Second one I agree was largely luck (good or bad luck depending on your perspective).

I read that because of the conditions, he didn’t get a good grip on the ball, so he tried to “push” it to his receiver.

3rd Offensive Player of the week for MVP Josh.  He’s put his cape on, Bills roll December on.  With 4 games left, Josh might win 1 or more Player of the Week awards.  The whole world knows Josh gets it’s done without having great WRs.  Especially after Buffalo beats NE, Josh will jump to head of MVP favorites, and should repeat

I asked about it in the GDT but was curious if anyone heard about why Josh was wearing a red tinted visor for the game?  I thought you weren't allowed to wear colored/tinted visors unless it was for a medical reason?

Nevermind, just found my answer.  Because money, that's why.

Colored visors are generally banned in the NFL for official games, as medical staff need to be able to see a player's eyes for concussion evaluation. Only clear visors are permitted by default, though a few exceptions exist for lightly tinted pink visors (due to a partnership with Oakley) or for players with a documented medical exemption, such as migraines. Colored or mirrored visors are sometimes allowed in warm-ups or practice but must be removed for games.
