I get why. There’s some risk, especially for people who were totally clean for years and then decide to try green again. That can wake the compulsive stuff back up. But that group is very small.

 

For everyone else-the people who’d never even try getting clean unless they had some kind of release valve, it can really help make transition easier.

 

Same idea as a cheat meal keeping you from bailing on a diet fully and binging for a month lol

 

I’m basically fall into 2nd group.

 

Even before id ever tried quitting seriously I'd figured out if i needed a quiet night, or to not blow my paycheck, If i rolled one up when it started getting dark, it crushed any drive I had to start drinking… there'd even be nights where i tried to change my mind and try to binge drink, and couldn't even get the drinks flowing on purpose.

 

drinking is what fired up my drive to end up in the powder too

 

A comic kinda summed up my experience with drinking and cocaine perfectly with:

“Drinking without smoking is like trying to poop without peeing.”

 

 

wish you the best, i never fell down any of those rabbit holes but it is painfully clear how easily it can happen, i can sense it drinking as a bills fan and my son  had issues.

 

i admire your courage to share it even on an anonymous chat room.

The guy is clean & sober, therefore it is not a newsworthy topic. If he got wasted and had an incident that would be newsworthy, but that is not the case. Give him some grace.

I'd bet he has a weed vape in his clam diggers during games. He comes out looking glassy eyed after halftime.

 

I will admit I was impressed with a couple of his play designs Sunday. One was a toss to a TE in the flat, no less than three Bills chased him about 15 yards downfield before forcing him out of bounds. He also has receivers running free everywhere, but that might just be our McDefense.
