So recently while cooking at my GFs house, her grill ended up dying on me (had propane but the burners wouldn't put out enough heat to do anything).  It was a small 3 burner grill and she said she was going to go to the store and get a new one.  An hour later, she comes home with this monster 6 burner grill with the rotisserie attachment that took me forever to put together.

Either way, finally got it together and working and she asked me if it was possible to cook a turkey on the rotisserie for Thanksgiving.  I figured it was since it can hold up to 40lbs but have never done anything like that.  Curious if anyone has tried to do a rotisserie turkey on a propane grill like this before.

Any secrets, recipes, etc. would be appreciated.

I don't have a good rotisserie turkey recipe. I recommend just winging it. Just make sure you have a lot of beer on hand and you'll be good.

The objective here @The Wiz is to make sure the GF is so drunk she won’t recognize that you substitute store bought rotisserie chicken for the turkey. Then if you plan the levels of intoxication well, you might even have some “fun” after the meal.  Good luck.

Well she doesn't drink and the latter isn't a problem either way.😉

If it were me I'd hit Youtube... with the search line " grill rotisserie turkey"... bound to be dozens of how to do it's there.

I've looked around and found a few different things I can try.  Just wanted to see if anyone had anything as a "go-to" that they've used.

And that is perfectly fair and makes sense. You never know what you might learn if you don’t ask.

Exactly.  I don't know what I don't know.
