Trade Ed Oliver for Immediate Help?

Ed was having his best year with 3.5 sacks in 10 quarters, but now he's out until the Super Bowl, maybe. We won't reach the Super Bowl without adding more elite talent to the roster. We'd need to see some Big Baller Beane moves to make a significant difference. I’d love to see something like Ed, Keon, and a first-round pick trade to AZ for Buddha Baker, MHJ, and a fifth-rounder.

If he's often injured and can't play for much of the season, is potentially past his prime and just all-around subpar, then he's the guy our FO wants and will hitch their wagons to a huge future contract for him.

 

We're silly that way.

THINK MAN, who in their right mind would trade for an injured DT. How about the salary cap ramification to the Bills. It would cost the Bills well over $20 milion in dead cap to trade Ed Oliver. Which means who do you want to cut so we can afford to trade Ed Oliver?
