New coaches added this year - any impact?

The Bills added 5 new coaches:

Chris Tabor (special teams coordinator)

Ryan Nielsen (senior defensive assistant)

Mike Pellegrino (nickels coach)

Jason Rebrovich (assistant defensive line)

Turner West (assistant special teams)

 

Will Greenberg head strength and conditioning coach

Barry Rubin senior strength and conditioning assistant

 

At this point in the season, I don’t think there is any improvement on special teams, defense or S&C.
Not heard any kudos from McDermott or Babbich that there was any big contributions.

 

too bad, thought we might see some improvements from new blood.

Fair question:

 

I think a lot of people were most interested in the addition of Nielsen, specifically since he has a history of playing a more agressive style on D (man and blitz). 
 

I wonder if their plan has been hampered by the injuries and if we’ll see any change in scheme with the return of some guys like Hairston.

I think STs has been in the up this year despite  the revolving Punter/holder situation. But that may have something to do with Matt Prater over Bass and less to do with Tabor

Bringing in new coaches might be the issue.  Players look lost out there.

That is coaching.  Lost, often Offside, covering grass, not covering gaps, not adapting, poor schemes, etc- that is all coaching!

ST's has looked improved this year, unfortunately the rest of the team has regressed

I believe bills are 2nd in NFL in pressure rate which can be contributed to addition of Nielsen and Rebrovich. Special teams is improved though that’s not a hard bar to leap after Smiley
