blacklabel Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I like how he played. He seems to be a pretty stoic/reserved kinda guy based on how he comes off in the media. I wanna say he looked rejuvenated. Yeah he got beat on the edge by Lamar but that'll happen, it's Lamar. I love how jazzed up he was after the game, jumping around with his new teammates, good stuff. I know Henry ran all over them but there were plenty of solid reps and I think they'll be alright. Quote
GunnerBill Posted September 8 Posted September 8 His contain and discipline first half was wretched. But he made some plays too including at the end if half to hold the Ravens to 3 and allow us chance to answer. He also did blow the would be sack 2nd half. If he and Rousseau both stay on their feet Lamar has no escape and they get him. Otherwise he showed some pop as a rusher. There was reason to be optimistic. 1 Quote

I feel like to play the ravens you have to guess right a few times and get them off schedule and out of rhythm. Eating 8 yard runs in a disciplined manner only takes you so far. Putting them in 2nd and 14 lets you dictate a whole lot more. I suspect a little bit was getting up to speed in a new season but a little bit was also the above Quote
RyanC883 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 100% agree. While he's not a "game wrecker" that you need to double, or "account for" the way Garrett, Watt, etc. are, he is a huge upgrade and him and Groot are a great pair. Quote
TBBills Fan Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I think he is a key addition to our D line and he showed up yesterday. As the year progresses, I believe the conversation regarding Bosa is gonna be how do we re-sign him Quote

Maybe because the game was so close ? close, important game that is heavily skewed towards his style of play while others are suspended…. makes sense he’d get a few extra reps. hopefully balances out over the long haul. 1 Quote

billsfan89 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 The edge is where the team looked a lot more physical and capable against the run. I think Bosa was a big reason for that. Groot is a good edge setter but Bosa being there to set the other edge made a difference. I'm looking forward to seeing this defense against a more sane offense. We should have a better picture of what the defense is gonna really be like against the Jets. The Jets have a capable O-line, a QB that can run, a power RB combo, and a good WR1. They are lacking with Fields as a thrower and the weapons in the passing game outside of Wilson are mediocre (not tragic but not very good) so they have flaws in addition to what they do well. I think the D-line should see a boost when Larry O and Hoecht comes back as well. Quote
muppy Posted September 8 Posted September 8 was his play perfect? No. He even acknowledged such in the post game locker room interview. I think having him will pay sack dividends going forward. When the Bills did get pressure oh was that fun to watch! Quote

Personally, i don't care much about what they look like about bad teams. This defense has been padding their stats against weak teams for years and then doing nothing against elite teams. That was a different story yesterday. There are only 3-4 teams we have to show up against, and I hope we've finally built a roster capable of doing that. Without a significant improvement in safety play, I am a bit worried though. Quote
