I remember watching an interview with Amari last season when I thought something like, "Smart guy.  Likes the Bills.  But talks more like an impassionate outside observer than an excited member of the squad."  I know he's always been kinda low key.  But I didn't get the impression he loved football the way Josh loves football.

It's Pete Carroll. He drafted a running back in the top 10. Of course they are gonna play Navy style football lol.

This doesn't surprise me. Him signing with the Raiders in the first place did. From everything I was seeing last season and the scuttlebutt coming out from anonymous sources (probably from within our building) - he was done with Football.

 

My guess is the signing was a Kyle Orton situation. The money and the opportunity seemed too good to pass on. But unlike Kyle, he got in the building and realized he couldn't tough through it for the money even for one more year.

I'm a Purdue alum so I was a bit of a Kyle Orton fan.  It was good to see him earn a starting role in the NFL.  Wish he was better.  Really wish he didn't slide.

I thought Cooper was a generational talent coming out of Alabama.  He was so dominant as a junior.

sometimes its just time to hang it up.  can happen any time any place.  sad to see him go.  seemed like a humble guy who was an above average player.  wish him the best.
