Old Coot Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Can't really tell how good Arch is from this game. He never really got into rhythm. That's on him but the Buckeyes D had a lot to do with that. I think they got into his head. Once you start double-checking what you see instead of just trusting your mechanics get off. Very few of his passes were on target today. I saw a couple of big time throws but other than that, meh. We'll see if he toughens up over the season. I expect we'll see these teams go head-to-head come playoff time. Quote
thenorthremembers Posted August 31 Posted August 31 (edited) Watched some of the game today. Felt like the game was less about Manning and more about the Buckeyes defensive line. They absolutely dominated in the trenches. If you put Arch on the Buckeyes its the same outcome maybe worse. Off topic but if the kid from Michigan ever gets footwork he may be someone to watch. Thank God football is back. Edited August 31 by thenorthremembers Quote

Oldest son is a big Michigan fan so its all Ive heard about. Spent the better part of yesterday fishing but had to be back for the Michigan game. Hes a talented kid but the top half of the body and the lower half of the body arent in sync yet. If he puts it altogether he's a Cam Newton, Josh Allen type draft prospect. Quote

It’ll be interesting to see if he’s another Manning, or a Trevor Lawrence type “generational talent”. ??? Lawrence was nasty in college and won the Natty his first season starting. he hasn’t been consistently great at the NFL level, but he delivered in college. Arch has a long way to go to get to Trevor’s level it appears Edited August 31 by RoscoeParrish Quote
