Kyle Dugger….Possible trade/cut candidate

According to Pats fans he suffered an ankle injury last year and it cost him all of his explosiveness. No chance he gets traded with that contract either, he will be cut and probably pass waivers and then sign a 1 year prove it deal somewhere. If his injury diminished his skills as much as they say I'd pass.

Mostly because people thought he was from the ultra devout Baptist family from 18 Kids and Counting.  He lost a lot of popularity once people figured out thats actually the DuggAr family and none of them are black.  And for those who didn't realize the mistake, there was that whole incestuous child molestation thing that really turned people off.

Now I don’t think that the Patriots would trade him to Buffalo unless they were the clear best offer but if the Patriots  were to release him I think the Bills would strongly consider him. Word in his draft year was the Bills and McDermott especially loved him as a prospect and was ready to take him before the Patriots surprisingly took him early. Just something to keep an eye on because it could turn out to be a nothing burger 

If he was playing so terrible, it is hard to believe the Patsies would want to pay him that much and commit to a 4 year deal.  The article says the new contract was signed late in the year.   If the Bills were to trade for him, it would take some hard work to make it fit under the cap.

Good call. He was absolutely a guy they liked in that draft - the AJ Epenesa year. We have seen it before where they come back to guys they scouted heavily around the draft when they shake free. 

 

His base salary is over $9m though, so the Bills would have to wait for him to be a FA. I don't think they can afford to throw even a 7th round pick at it to jump the queue because they don't have the room to take the contract on.
