There isn't one because this isn't about a solution to crime.

If it's really about crime, ask yourself why they haven't deployed to St. Louis or New Orleans, which have much higher homicide rates than LA, DC, or Chicago.

You should probably dig in deeper. It's a great look for u.

What’s the plan for the crime problem once the national guard and Feds leave. This is all pointless because it isn’t sustainable. Need to figure out a more permanent solution. In a couple weeks crime will be back.

What would you want it to be if you were a resident?   Return to status quo?

I would hope the sh8tty leadership would honor its obligation to take tax dollars and divert them to programs making the city a safer place to live.  It doesn’t seem like less enforcement is the right idea.

We are now up to SIX no bills on indictments arising from these deployments.

D.C. grand jury declines to indict another defendant amid Trump's crime crackdown

"It is rare for a federal grand jury to decline to indict, but it's become an emerging trend in Washington amid Trump's federal crackdown, with grand juries made up of local residents declining to indict at least six times in recent weeks."

If it's so easy to secure an indictment that a prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich, the fact that they keep failing time and time again to secure indictments almost seems like evidence that this isn't actually about crime...

Didn’t say that. Just saying cleaning up the streets and making them safe for a few weeks and then returning to normal solves nothing. Hopefully the residents and politicians see what it was like for these few weeks and decide to really push for some change. But I doubt it.

I didn’t mean to suggest you said that, I was just asking.

Sounds to me like the age old problem of lots and lots of money going through the system, but lots of inefficiency, bid rigging  and grift before a legitimate dollar was spent.   I don’t know how you change unless it’s cultural, top to bottom.

Bowser must not share the fears of Roundy and Andy1 about the inability of the NG to “community police”.  Joke’s on her!

They are ridiculously overcharging in these cases. The Subway Sandwich attacker? They finally settled on the misdemeanor that it should've been all along.

Isn't it nice to see grand juries doing what they were established to do?

Is it grand juries doing their jobs or the liberal deep state stopping Trump from bringing the Subway Slayer to justice?

I look forward to seeing their full condemnation of Bowser quoted here. Facilitating Hitler/fascist goals deserves at least that much.

Looking for black people in this video. Not finding them.

See, in DC the worst crime is in predominantly black neighborhoods.

41% of the DC population is black.

So where are all the black people in this "protest"?

I'll tell you why there are so few: DC's black population is the primary beneficiary

of Trump's incredibly effective crackdown on DC crime.

These "protesters" are all white Democrat self-appointed "elites" who

live in crime-free Northwest DC (or the DC suburbs) in their $2mm+ homes.

White Democrats feel a congenital need to virtue signal, even if it means killing black people.

Then they go home in their lululemon yoga pants, Allbirds loafers and Subaru Forester,

where they open a $200 bottle of wine and celebrate themselves over all the "good" they did today.

Sickening.

Good Question.

Old white boomers demonstrating in favor of crime in the streets. Gotta love it! Definitely not the racial profile of D.C. but maybe it was one of those senior citizen bus tour things.

Moar old people!

And upside down signs.

The reality is that without the cartels laundering hundreds of billions of dollars (cash and crypto) through Wall Street...

Their investments for retirement take a massive hit...

Just as they worship cheap illegal labor...

Just as they worship outsourcing of American jobs...

Just to protect their cashflow before the grim reaper takes them home...

A truly noble and patriotic people...

I think it has to do with their early life experiences in the 1960's protest movement fighting the establishment. In their minds as older adults today, that's what they believe they'll still doing. But what they cannot comprehend is they are the establishment. It's a generational case of cognitive dissonance.

What a hoax.  He pardoned the guy who engaged in insider trading on the White House lawn.  Pardoned the J6 thugs.  And hides the Epstein files.

Where are the federal troops in DC, hoax man?  Not in SE, or beyond NoMa.  They're sticking to the Mall and Union Station.  Not where they need to be if this effort is sincere.
