In April I was diagnosed with tongue Cancer. May 8th I had the surgery that removed the cancer from my tongue. They cut out way more of my tongue than I though was going to get cutout. 2 days afterwards I had excessive bleeding and was able to stop it, I went to the surgeon, and they cauterized some veins. A few days after that I woke up choking on my own blood. Blood was pouring out of my mouth. I couldn't stop it, blood was everywhere in my house. I looked in the mirror and I could see blood gushing out of my mouth with each heart beat. I was afraid I was going to bleed out. I called 911. In the ER they couldn't stop the bleeding either. They called the surgeon who came in and sewed shut the offending vein. The ER room and my house looked like murder scenes.

How to Sue a Doctor for Malpractice in 2025

Yes, this March, for myself. I had trouble breathing due to RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). My wife and I were just preparing to go to Urgent Care, when it got really bad and I thought I would be dying of lack of oxygen. Within six minutes we had a fire truck and an ambulance in our driveway, and about 10 emergency workers in our bedroom. Additional problem: Their oxygen tank had a malfunctioning valve, and it took them several minutes to get me the life-saving stuff.

Twice I've had to direct other people to call something in while I was handling weird and wild chaos, but I've never actually punched the numbers myself.

Yup, Came home from being away and smelled NG in the house and it was cold.  Person was great and FD Chief was there in no time (volunteer FD with a few paid) as he lived around the corner.  They ended out shutting off the the NG and and NYSEG tagged the furnace AND the hot water tank. Guess I was lucky

A couple different times.  Most recently, I was driving home from work and there was an actual knife fight on the side of the road.  One of the guys was stabbed and bleeding badly.

If you had a gun, you should have shot the guy that did the stabbing. That would have been a great punchline.
