maybe more than 1 solution?  If something obstructs the fall of the penny from each floor and the obstruction is large enough to stop a jumping human, he would not likely die from a 1 story jump.  But I await the accepted solution

If a guy jumped from a window to kill himself, how did he close the window in mid flight? You went to each window and had to OPEN it (meaning it was shut). Hmmmmm

playing devils advocate:  There  are 4 sides to most buildings. therefore at least 52 windows

He may have jumped from one not tested by the penny drop and left the window open.

Take a child's game in eight letters. Change the sixth letter to a C-H, and phonetically, you'll get a popular animated children's character. What's the game and the character?

Peekaboo & Pikachu

A rooster lays an egg on the roof of a barn. Each side of the roof has a 90 degree angle and windspeed is approxiamately 15 mph blowing in an eastern direction. The egg is layed at the front part of the roof, which has been caved in due to weather. Because of that part of the roof being caved in, it has a slight 45 degree angle to it, which is more than the rest of the roof. So, which side of the roof will the egg roll off of, the one with the eastern exposure, or the one with the western exposure?

A roof with a 90 degree angle is a wall.

And roosters don't lay eggs.

An unarmed, heavyset, blond man is lying in a large room with no windows amongst a pile of 53 bicycles, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

What led to his death?

The bicycles are Bicycle brand playing cards. The man was caught palming a 5th ace.

Bob is at work one day when Mary, a girl he had once went to school with, waves at him. Bob is lost in his thoughts and doesn’t notice her. Later that day, Bob is called into the office of his boss and fired.

Why was Bob fired?

Winner, winner chicken dinner

Mary was drowning and Bob failed to see her frantic waves. Bob is better suited for a job that doesn't require such acute attention to detail.
