QCity Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Another great goalie performance. They are winning with their best players doing little to nothing, Tuch, Tage, and Dahlin with 0's on the scoresheet again. 2 Quote

UConn James Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago On seeing highlights, Detroit's second goal where they tied at the end of the 2nd period... the scorer had set up camp in front of the crease. Power just stood like 3 feet to the left of the goalie. Just stood there and watched it happen. So aggravating. There's nothing going through his head saying 'Do something about this'?!?!!! Quote

The Detroit goal scorer was surrounded by Blue jerseys that were all close enough to make a play but were watching the puck and not anticipating. It strange how often the Sabres are in a solid position defensively but fail to impact the play. Its less strange that they find themselves wildly out of position and giving up breakaways but Ellis looked calm as could be when called upon. Team defense is definitely improving in year 2 of Lindy's term but there are things to clean up. Quote

I haven’t watched too much this year but I watched a fair amount of the Florida win and Montreal loss. My two takeaways were: It’s early, we’ll see and How was Power ever a number 1 overall? He blows. Quote
