I have a bills related Father’s Day picture to share but it’s too big (on my phone). How can I share it?

On iphone, several ways:
-download an app. Image Size or Imageresizer are two people have had luck with
-email the image to yourself.  chose a small size.  save the photo from your email.

On computer,

-use a website
https://imageresizer.com/
https://www.canva.com/features/image-resizer/
-the "email it to yourself" trick also works if you use a computer-based mail client

-serious .jpg editing programs like Irfanview have this capability and many others, but require more time to learn
https://www.irfanview.com/

[FAQ for this and similar would prolly be helpful @SDS @Simon]

I'm 66 and the greatest thing I ever did was not reproduce.

Interesting comment for a Happy Father’s Day thread but I felt the same way. Until I didn’t. And now I wish I hadn’t waited until 44 to have our first.

But holy ***** - the exhaustion is real, the constant anxiety is real, the loss of some hobbies is real. And it’s ALL worth it when my 17 month old came up and said “Da!!” (That’s what he calls me) and gave me a hug yesterday. Number 2 on the way, due in November. I’ll be 45 and I regularly think of how old I’ll be when they hit certain milestones - I’ll be the guy at high school graduation people assume is the grandpa. But I’ve come to grips with it.

That said, it’s 100% not for everyone. And the biggest thing I’ve taken away so far is my undying respect for single parents. Doing this alone would have likely killed me.

Great post.

I worked with a young lady and kind of watched her grow up, interning in summers (her dad was the majority stockholder), then fresh out of college, then getting married and finally expecting. We had two boys so the girl stuff was new to me. I felt very invested when she was expecting. I was also somewhat honored when she came to me to ask about what it’s like to become a parent. She stunned me at first and I just mumbled some words.

I mulled it over for a while, and I still remember walking over to her office to share my share my experience. I said the lows will be low and very difficult, but the highs are higher than I could have imagined.

To each their own, because we are not one size fits all.

Yeah I wish we hadn't waited until I was 39.  Heck with HS graduation, I went to kindergarden to read and had little kids asking if I was the grandparent.  Ouch.

The exhaustion will subside.  For a few years.

It was a journey but one I'm glad we took.  And I agree, single-parenting wouda killed me.
