For example China is governed by the CCP but their economy includes substantial private enterprise and market forces. NK is pretty close. They have money. But does it mean much? America is going towards a christian nationalist autocracy. Dont take my word for it. Read Project 2025. It is all in there. So since we are almost a pure capitalist society does that mean we are not capitalist? We have a ton of welfare and a government that spends much more than it brings in

You seem to believe an ancient orange buffoon is slick enough to weasel himself a third term as president. That’s a drum you should beat loudly and proudly. I feel confident that the next two elections will take place exactly as all those preceding them. One of us will be right. He is a figure head at this point. You think this moron is somehow smart enough to do everything they are doing. Who do you think picked his judges and his SC nominations. Have you heard of Leonard Leo? Russell Vought? Paul Dans? The Heritage Foundation? It is funny that you think Trump is running the show. Like you all though Biden was making every decision at every level. But that is America. Ignorance rules. Who do you think Bannon is talking about when he says their team is working on making sure Trump is in office longer than 4 years.

We are a combination of capitalism and socialism like almost every country in the world. The only difference is in the levels. America is now an oligarchy by the corporate elite. Trump wants a piece of that. Some commentators argue that the government's increasing involvement in the economy, through regulation, subsidies, and even direct ownership in certain sectors, moves it away from pure free-market capitalism. For example, the Trump administration's move in 2025 to convert grants into government equity stakes in companies like Intel is seen by some as a shift toward state capitalism. There is a reason Turmp's wealth went from 500 million to 7 billion. Hey as long as transgenders and DEI are gone I think America doesn't care who rapes their ass. Most people dont even know who pays a tariff.
B-Man Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago ‘No Kings’ crowds don’t want more democracy — they want LESS By Glenn Harlan Reynolds Trump isn't a king; he's a popularly elected president who won in something of a landslide, delivering exactly the policies that he promised the electorate Watching the “No Kings” protests, a friend commented: “Democracy dies when the other side wins. Another rule they wouldn’t want to have turned back on them.” That does seem to be the animating spirit not only of the various marches around the country, but of the entire anti-Trump resistance. President Donald Trump’s crime isn’t anything he’s said, or done, or even believed (which, all too often, anti-Trump protesters can’t cogently describe anyway). It’s that he won, and he represents the other team. His actions generally involve invoking various statutes acted into law by Congress over the past several decades. His enforcement of immigration laws and deportation of criminal aliens is very popular. His ending of DEI policies is also very popular. So is his slashing of federal payrolls, and his cuts to foreign aid. Then there are his cuts to federal regulations. And his support for law enforcement. In fact, Trump is a “king” — or “dictator,” as we’re often told — whose actual program seems to involve shrinking the government he heads. That’s not the usual thing for autocrats. Kings inherit their jobs; presidents are elected for a term. As Meghan McCain tweeted, “I don’t understand how Trump is a King when he won every single swing state, the electoral college and popular vote in a democratic election.” Legal scholar Ilya Shapiro responded, “No no he’s a king by dismantling an administrative state that <checks notes> nobody voted for.” That’s Trump’s real sin — carrying out the will of the voters. Democrats know their policies are unpopular. That’s why they have to lie about everything from immigration to affirmative action to gun control. Democrats represent the administrative/professional class: bureaucrats, educators, academics, media people and, of course, a huge gaggle of useless nonprofit and foundation and NGO flunkies. https://nypost.com/2025/10/20/opinion/no-kings-crowds-dont-want-more-democracy-they-want-less/

Secondly arguing "some commentators" is allowing others to do your thinking, which is a bad idea. Lastly I am not sure why you arguing Mid 1980s Trump in relation to now since he has been a billionaire since 1988

Thank you for taking a stab at it but based on this post you should go back to pearl clutching over the damage to the historical section of the White House. At least that seemed almost genuine.
BillsFanNC Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago Please nedboi provide evidence of the following: Nationwide right wing protests where they are largely wearing "leather jackets, carry their assault weapons, bring their nooses, bats, hockey sticks or other clubs and wear their paramilitary gear." AND AT THE SAME TIME... Having GOP members of the US Senate marching alongside them.
