Preemptive attacks are contentious issues in international law and depend entirely on the evidence for “imminence.” Sure, you can be logically consistent in denouncing Israel’s actions in Gaza while supporting their preemptive strikes in Iran.

Don’t hate the assistance to Israel, just wish we had competent leadership instead of DEI hire Whiskey Pete.

Maybe we can get Lloyd "AWOL" Austin back...

Always showing who the true racists are...

Anyway, until Hegseth goes AWOL for a week or gets 13 soldiers killed, I'll say that being a general doesn't make you immune from being incompetent.

how many fighters slid off carrier decks?

Goebbels always said accuse your enemy of that of which you are guilty.

Case in point calling me a racist for calling out getting rid of an accomplished military leader for a weekend news anchor.

When you are ready to have an adult conversation about America’s national security and leadership LMK.

in the meantime we can watch how Whiskey Pete and Taco handle what’s coming. I’m sure there will be voluminous documentation, unless they ban those books too.

That's...hilarious.  Even if Hegseth were responsible for that (hint: he's not), you want to compare lost military equipment?  I don't think so...

And don't make me laugh with the "adult conversation" talk and then call Hegseth "Whiskey Pete."  You're making a bigger clown out of yourself.  More than when you claim you used to be a Republican until Trump.

So not Whiskey Pete’s fault, but Austin’s fault.

got it.

accept the fact that Hegseth is a DEI hire and grossly unqualified to be in charge of our military. Any argument to the contrary exposes you as a partisan.

weekend news anchor bro.

good job.

also why is his wife in meetings?

Look, I'm not the one who blamed someone for a plane falling off aircraft carrier, as if Hegseth was the one towing it out of the hangar () .  But if we're doing the blame game, yeah, I'd blame Austin for the billions of dollars of equipment left behind and the 13 dead soldiers in Afghanistan because of the horrible exit plan.

And what's your problem with Hegseth's performance so far?  That some underlings added an American reporter onto a group chat (and were dismissed)?  The mission conducted was a success.  Recruiting is up.  Is this just complaining to complain?

I heard a report that Iran would stop bombing Israel if Israel stopped.  I was floored.  I think Iran never expected in a million years for Israel to bomb them.  But FAFO.

Jill Biden sat in on and actually participated in Biden admin cabinet meetings.

FACT.

Thurmal's issue? That you might believe that this is real.

The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.

Reportedly by whom? I always wonder if they just make this stuff up. Meanwhile, Iran launched a major missile attack last night against Tel Aviv and Haifa. Which hardly seems like the actions of a regime looking for an off ramp. This back-and-forth might go on for a lot longer and with a lot greater intensity than most expect.

Saw that. In my assessment markets are completely mis-pricing risk. The traditional pattern of behavior is panic for a day or two then assume a return to normal. That's why buy the dip has been so profitable.

Israel has vowed the Iranian nuclear program must be eliminated. But what they can't do is effectively attack and destroy underground facilities. They lack the heavy bomber aircraft to deliver the bunker buster bombs necessary. They've been attempting to convince the US to launch such attacks. So far the administration has said "no".

My guess is that Iran is stalling.  Israel has control of the skies.  Iran wants to protect what it has, rebuild air defenses, and then restart nuke work.  Only now, after this episode, they’re more desperate to finish it.
